Such a sad loss for those children, and unborn child. She and the kids must be so devastated! Doesn't matter who they are, the kids are the losers here and anyone who says having kids late is the problem is not seeing the big picture. The kids are unlucky.

He was one of the nicest people I have ever met, truly had the wow factor and changed my life forever. I think a lot of you people on here need to take a long hard look in the mirror and see how shallow and horrible you are. My heart goes out to Mr kellys Family at this terrible time.

12:54 congratulations you had your kids when you were young. Did I miss something; I didn't think this article was about YOU. You said nothing about the subject, you only patted yourself on the back. You don't know if you will live to see the next day; nevermind retiring at 50. Ditto to 12:33, you don't EVER know how long you will live. But by all means pat yourself on the back too. The Death of a parent at any age is traumatic for children, unless you think YOUR adult children won't care if you die at 50 or 60 or 80. It will be a lot of comfort to them knowing you had them when you were young, I'm sure. I don't know these people but i do feel for their loss.

12:33 i think that its a little close minded to say that people should have kids at a young age so they can be there for them i know a girl whose mom died at 25 after having her at 20 my own father died at 52 of cancer when i was 14 his two oldest were 25 and 27 regardless it's a tragedy that this happened but when it's your time to go nothing is going to stop that frrom happening.

It's a shame that Natasha McElhone's husband, Martin Kelly, 42, a plastic surgeon, was found dead on the footsteps of his & his wife's home in London, my heart goes out to both their families, and especially, Natasha, etc.

12:33- Although I feel terrible that your friend lost her father at the age of 18 she should be thrilled that her parents did have her- regardless of age. If they had a child earlier- it wouldn't have been her. My father was 43 when I was born- he passed away a month ago and I had 36 wonderful years with him. Death is unpredictable- a 25 year old woman can give birth and die of an illness or accident shortly thereafter, same with the father. I knew a girl in highschool and her father had a heart attack in his 30's- bad healt happens at any age.If my parents stopped having children at a young age I wouldn't be here. My deepest sympathies to Natascha and her children- Im certain she will raise those children with wonderful memories/stories of their dad.

There are good reasons to have kids early and good reasons to have them young. There is not one right answer. People get over yourselves! One of the reasons not to have them "young" Britney Spears. One of the reasons not to have them "old" Hugh Hefner. lol.

I understand what you are trying to say, but age is irrevelant to be honest. You can have a baby at 22, be healthy and die in a car crash. Young people get cancer too. It's not about age anymore. But, no I wouldn't have a baby probably past the age of 40.

how awful. the poor woman. and the poor child, the unborn and the born - they'll never really know their father.
