Grats on the baby! Talking about transexuals just needing to accept themselves as gay and leave their bodies the way they are? Have you ever spoken to a transexual? Do you have any clue how they must feel? Imagine getting up every day and seeing your body and feeling it wasn't right. Few are lucky enough to feel comfortable enough to tell someone. Lots become so depressed that they are reclusive and suicidal! While you're saying people to think before they do something for how it effects their children, think of their families when they find out their loved one is dead and THIS was the reason. We have children born with abnormalities that can be treated. We can give them a normal life. I think thats exactly what this GUY needed. HE was able to get the help he needed and find a woman that accepted him for who he is. I've read that his wife couldn't get pregnant. So whats wrong with him having the baby? It'll still be loved and cared for. We need to be thinking LESS about how our children are going to be teased because of how they are different and teach them to ACCEPT others how they are! Teach your children to be tollerant and there will be that many less hate related crimes in the future. Abolish others for those differences, and your kids will pick up on those behaviours as well. There is nothing wrong with being transgender, gay, a different religion, colour, having a lisp, or anything else that makes us different from everyone else. Those differences should be embraced and cherrished and GOD (or whichever diety/higher power you belive in) made us all, with our flaws and our gifts. Who's to say that God didn't make these two people the way they are just so this baby would be born because she or someone affected by her is going to do something really important in the future? We're all here for a reason. Maybe her reason is none other than to get people to open their eyes to even more ways that parents can reverse roles in parenting?

Yea i agree this is the biggest nothing story iv ever heard of, I really really don't understand trans gendered people, why don't they just leave there bodies alone and be gay. Girls who turn themselves into men can't get an erection men who turn themselves into women have no natural lubrication or reproductive organs, why not just leave you're body alone and be gay? At least it worked properly before. If i were a gay person i would be kind of offended by these people. It's like trannies are the ones who are intolerant of nature and we as a society are so afraid of being labeled Intolerant that no one will tell them there just f*cked up in the head. I watched a show once on people who voluntarily became amputees, no Doctor would even consider doing the operation so they had to freeze there legs off with dry ice. How is this any different?

That is one beautiful baby with two loving parents. I would rather see a couple like that have a child knowing its going to grow up in a loving environment, rather then a child being abused or even beaten to death. I say the world should leave them alone and let them have as many kids as they want. Besides whose life is it going to interupt? There are so many hateful and ignorant people out there, like their life is going to change with this news. This couple isn't apart of them hateful ignorant people, obviously they love each other very much and they are not hurting anyone by having their own child and many more if they want. There is really nothing wrong with this. 'His' significant other cant have a child, so he is having it for her. Since he still has the insides and is capeable of concieving this child, he is. Its HIS biological child. He STILL has rights to have the child, even if he was a she!! It's not exactally a 'miricle' because all he needs is a sperm doner. He is not ACTUALLY a man on the insides, and that is what counts. It's not like he was born a male, because he wasn't. If the case was that he was born a male, and science was able to do some kind of experiment on him to make him have a baby, and he had not felmale insides at all, then THAT would be a so called 'miricle'.

Exactly what kind of life is the child going to have now that he/she/it has proclaimed itself the first male to become pregnant? If this man/woman really cared about a child, they would not be advertising such a bizarre, crazy situation to the press. Why not just keep it quiet and have the child so that the child can at least attempt to have a normal life? Very very sad for the child this couple is bringing into the world.

Why keep your reproductive organs but rid yourself of the breasts that will provide the best nutrition for the child? Not very well thought out in my opinion. And exactly what effect is all of the testosterone this woman/man has been taking going to have on this child.

Shame on you Oprah for inviting this nutcase onto your show. It reminds me of something Jerry Springer would report on his show. You can do better than that.
