There's been far too much said in the British press and on Internet forums, the Middleton family has been publicly dissected, 'friends' from both sides have been leaking stories to the media, William has been yelling 'I'm freeeeeee!' in a nightclub, Kate has been flirting with men she'd never met before in the same nightclub (on a different night, I hasten to add!), Woolworths have had to trash the commemorative mugs they'd had ready for the big engagement announcemnt ... do you need any more?

Any sort of reunion now would make William look stupid and weak and there's no way he'll let that happen. As to why he wanted out, simple - he'd fallen out of love. It happens all the time, probably happened to many people here, but for some bizarre reason people seem to think it couldn't happen to him. She, presumably, was still in love with him but then it's probably quite easy to be in love with the heir to the most famous throne in the world. I predict William will meet someone in the future who'll put this romance into perspective, someone who truly will be the 'second Diana'. I just hope he doesn't let the media find out about her until he's ready to slip a ring on her finger. And Kate? She'll marry, have a family and slip back into obscurity. Perhaps she'll be happier than way, though doubtless she'll sometimes think about what might have been.

Most men shave their heads because they are going bald. Patrick Stewart started going bald at 19 I read, average age of going bald starts at 20. I think it's about 33% of men at age 30 that have signs. Baldness is often due to hormone levels, specifically the conversion of testosterone (that will be lost of the health imbeciles here).

I agree, 11:12, women that shallow deserve to miss out. But take a look at the juvenile postings and it's a bit more understandable, i.e. you call out shallow behavior regarding baldness and you're bald yourself.

I think William will regret losing Kate. I don't think he'll be able to get her back later either. He doesn't realize how lucky he was in finding her.

I admire William tremendously, and believe he will become a spectacular King, but I do wonder about his personal life, considering the soap opera into which he was born. Thank God he had his mother, the late HRH Diana, Princess of Wales. She would be so proud of him today.

thank god he came to his senses....he could have his choice of any woman in the world,I really thought he could do better...it's sad that they both invested so much time in the relationship, but it's good that they've realized now before too much longer that it wasn't going to work...best wishes for them both...the future royals, although having a glam, rich and fabulous life we would all like to partake in, will surely also have to endure an immense imposition on their privacy...that's a tough job for anyone.
