i just can't see someone that in love move to another relationship that fast.I like Reese Witherspoon she isn't

It’s no secret Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal aren’t into PDA. But their behavior at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7 was cold even for them. There’s good reason: After six months of on-and-off dating, the pair are kaput. “This is the harshest split they’ve had,” a source tells Us. “Reese told Jake it’s best they don’t talk at all.”
Indeed, the costars stood apart and rarely made eye contact at the Rendition press conference. They remained distant at the afterparty, where Witherspoon kept to herself and Gyllenhaal chatted with his mom and costar Peter Sarsgaard (sister Maggie’s beau). But by 11 p.m., when they hit the fete for George Clooney’s movie Michael Clayton, the frostiness melted: “They seemed like a couple,” an eyewitness tells Us. “Reese was happy and having a good time.”
But the next morning, they left Toronto separately. She headed to L.A.; he flew to NYC.
Is it over for good? “They’re a rocky couple,” says one insider. “It would not be a shock if they got back together.”

yeah, Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn were totally cute but everyone was all suspicious of them. It's like soo if they actually had an attraction what were they supposed to do? Not date? Because people might assume it's for publicity. People can be such vultures. Just accept the fact that if you hear about it repeatedly the dating is probably real but you'll never know the details for sure, no matter how many magazines you read. I love gossip mags but I have half a brain and realize you can't believe everything you read nor can you accuse people you've never met of being publicity hungry.

People who say everytime people start dating it's for publicity piss me off. So if you're famous you can't date anyone without it being assumed it's for publicity? Please, they are people too. Sometimes you're famous enough to have more than enough buzz and interest and the last thing you want is attention for your relationship, hence why so many take great pains to HIDE it.

Why would they subject themselves to this, they are not promoting a romantic comedy (like JA&VV), they don't even have scenes together in this movie. They wouldn't have to go thru all the rumors and crap if they are beard and just got caught making out on the balcony of the Pennisula in Chicago."

Ummm... doesn't this pic remind anyone of the Brangelina pics during the Mr. and Mrs. Smith promo days?? Brad and Angelina stood feet apart and barely acknowledged one another during one of the publicity runs--the whole time they were getting hot and heavy! Reese & Jake are soooo together.

US Weekly gets it wrong again!!!! They aren't broke up. So the tabloid ragazines have to say they have a rocky relationship. This way the rags hedge their bets. Reese has two kids. Is it possible that she went home to see about them? Where is Ryan??? I heard he is in London getting ready to do a movie. Jake went to NYC, where his mother and his sister and his niece and Peter live. Him and his buddy stopped to check out the closing of the U.S. Open.Anyone can see the pattern in their behavior. They do big public things alone and then they are cuddled up together. And Reese has a family, too She is close to her family as Jake is to his. Hah!

Beard is "cover up", as in Reese is Jake's cover-up that he is supposedly gay. Term used when one person is supposedly homosexual and goes out with a member of the opposite sex for publicity purposes. I don't happen to think he is gay, I think people can't differentiate between the fact that they saw him play a gay character so excellently.

They are both serious relationship kind, but she is going thru a divorce and is most likely being advised by those close to her not to rush into things, he seems like the type that wants kids ASAP, it's messy to date somebody going thru a divorce with a hot head ex, busy career and two young kids.
Perhaps they are just normal like the rest of us only rich.

If you look back at Reese and Ryan's relationship they were very out of the public eye when it came to thier personal lifes. I think her and Jake are doing the same thing. It is smart. They might be in a very serious relationship but don't want what have happened to so many other celebrity couples to happen to them. They like thier privacy and I don't blame them. Maybe this is all just a rouse to fool the public into leaving them alone.

It does have that "I am independent of him..." stance, she is quite publicity-shy with this relationship, I don't blame her. I think they are more involved than is being shared.
