 Will Ragozzino/Getty Images Anne Hathaway has ditched her boyfriend of four years, Italian businessman Raffaello Follieri, according to Tuesday's Daily Mail of London The Get Smart star, 25, feared that his recent legal woes could hurt her career, a source tells the paper. (Follieri, 29, is under investigation by the New York State Attorney General's office for failing to file tax-disclosure forms for his charity, the Follieri Foundation. He was also arrested in April for allegedly writing a $215,000 bad check.) See photos of other shocking splits. "It's heartbreaking for her to dump him, and she's devastated that it's come to this, but she really didn't have a choice," a source told the paper of the actress, who walked Monday's Get Smart premiere solo. "His scandals were hurting her reputation." A source also confirmed the split to Us: "Yes, they're taking a break. All the shady stuff was too much." Her rep had no comment when contacted by Us. Of course she's going to dump him, if she stays it's bad for her image. Her career is more important that supporting some shady boyfriend. She tipped the FBI leading to arrest. It's not heartache it's reality.

Well, of course she's hurting now but after a few months she'll look back and realize it was the best thing to let him go. Career or no, he was going to drag her down to hell with him. She had to cut him loose, even though I'm sure it was heartbreaking because she loved him and all. I just had someone who I loved break away from me, that's life. Anne is pretty and smart, with those big pretty doe eyes of hers. She'll find herself a nice fellow someday, methinks.

Anne really knows how to Get Smart. Okay, bad pun, I know. I have a weakness for puns :) She is doing the right thing. One day hindsight will hit her like a ton of bricks and she will realize that getting the hell away from this guy was a really smart move, not only for her reputation but for her psychological and financial well-being, and she will be very glad she did. She is very pretty and talented, and I am sure many good things lie ahead of her in her personal life and her career.
