Robin Williams isn't taking the end of his 19-year marriage so well.
The day that news broke of his divorce, the comedian, 56, wore a T-shirt that featured a dagger piercing a heart at JFK airport in NYC.
On March 21, his wife, Marsha Garces Williams, filed a petition for dissolution of marriage in San Francisco Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences.
Garces is seeking joint legal custody of their 16-year-old son Cody, as well as payment of attorney fees and spousal support.
They also have a daughter, Zelda, 18.
The two met when Garces Williams worked as a nanny for Williams' son Zachary, whom he had from a previous marriage.

people are so dumb... if you read at the END it says she was the nanny for his son ZACHARY from a PREVIOUS marriage... He had divorced and needed someone to take care of his first child while he was working. so she was the nanny... man, people twist things around so much and then everything is all screwed up.

I would like to say that there are no winners here! I absolutely adore Robin Williams, and I understand he has an illness like cancer, or any other disease. I pray that he finds his way to recovery with God's help. He has so much talent and a good person from I what I see!! By the way, wifee you are not well either--Al-Anon is for people affected by someone else's drinking can help you too!

I think this is being interpreted wrong. It seems as though his current wife was the nanny to his son, from a previous marriage, meaning (at least to me) that he was a single father and hired a nanny to help take care of his son. I'm sure in typical US fashion they would have specified if he was married at the time and left his wife FOR the nanny.

I'm sorry, I'm not fully aware of the situation, but where does it say that he left his wife for the nanny? or that he cheated on his wife with the nanny? perhaps he and this woman got together after his first marriage fell apart. so maybe people shouldn't be so judgmental with these "what goes around comes around" comments. i hope this blow to his emotional state doesn't drive him back to drink.

Poor Robin, I really do feel sorry for him. I absolutely adore him, he's so funny, although I don't agree with how him and his now ex-wife got together, but that's between them. As the saying goes though, "What comes around goes around." I really do feel bad for him though. He'll be okay. Hang in their Robin.
