Rosie O'Donnell is serious about her Celebrity Detox. Despite her upcoming book release, she has removed herself from all scheduled promotional interviews, including a sit-down with Good Morning America's Diane Sawyer. But instead of removing her from the spotlight, the decision seems to have brought even more attention to the former talk-show host.
A rep for Good Morning America tells Usmagazine.com, "We were looking forward to having Rosie as a guest on the program. Unfortunately, we were informed she has decided to cancel all of her interviews."
On her blog, Rosie hinted at the decision, saying (in her patented lower-case style) "i do not feel ready to discuss or defend the things i shared on those 209 pages." A rep for O'Donnell told Page Six, "The book is a very personal snapshot of a certain time in Rosie's life, and she felt she bared her soul on those pages, She feels people should read the book and take away from it what they will. She does not want to do any interviews."
Celebrity Detox is scheduled to be released on Oct. 9.
