Rosie O’Donnell and Barbara Walters were all smiles on The View on Monday for Rosie’s first day back from vacation, but backstage in the makeup room before the show, O'Donnell reportedly called the bald-faced Walters a bald-faced liar.
The New York Post’s Page Six reports that when Walters tried to hug O’Donnell while she was getting her face painted, she recoiled from Walters' touch and yelled, "You kept me in the newspapers this whole time!...You didn't call me for 10 goddamn days, and you didn't tell me what you were going to say on television!"
Producer Bill Geddie jumped in and told O’Donnell, "You've crossed the line."
The comedian retorted, "Cameras are now outside of my house where my wife and kids are."
The funnywoman is upset because, after she called Trump a “snake-oil salesman” on The View last month, the combed-over real estate mogul embarked on an anti-Rosie media blitz in the following weeks, calling the comic a “loser” and a “pigface,” while claiming that Walters confided to him that she regretted hiring O'Donnell as a cohost.
Walters responded by issuing a carefully worded statement saying, "I'm sorry there is friction between Donald and Rosie. That said, I do not regret for one moment my choice to hire Rosie O'Donnell as the moderator of The View."
Still, it wasn't enough for O'Donnell who told Walters, "You went all around this and never called [Trump] a liar. You never said, 'Donald is lying.' You never called him a liar."
When Walters tried to defend herself, O'Donnell erupted, "Are you looking me in the face and denying you didn't tell him you didn't say this? You're a [bleeping] liar."
The New York Daily News' Gatecrasher reported a similar incident: "Rosie had a very firm talk with Barbara. She told her in no uncertain terms, 'I hope you set the record straight,' " says a witness, adding that O'Donnell felt Walters did not sufficiently back her up over the last two weeks of mudslinging.
Cindi Berger, a rep for both Walters and O'Donnell told the NYP, "Whatever happened in the hair and makeup room was hardly a squabble. It's business as usual, everyone has moved on."

The View.. is no longer a respectable show in my eyes. I don't care if Rosie O'donnell helps the children and charities... anyone can do that... but the fact she does that I commend her whether her intentions are good or bad. I respect and appreciate all who help the children... especially abused children. But personally... that does not matter... i believe in the whole package... you don't argue someone is good just because the donate money to children that i'm sorry... does NOT automatically ERASe ALL the bad choices they make. I say.... Donald Trump was defending himself in a classy manner.... but he is also wrong... to call Rosie names. That was uncalled for. I feel this is a bad example for children... and personally... Rosie a person who helps children should know this if her heart truly is sincere... do you think this is a good example??? for the world. First off... I adore Oprah... her show is LEGENDARY! She is a genuine person... and does not use cheap shots to increase her ratings.. her show from what i've seen has always been positive. Please do not let this TRASH NEGATIVE talk continue on public television.. this is distressing to the public. I personally feel "The View" and "ROsie" both needs to apologize to Donald and also the Asian community for the controversial degradations that Rosie has caused... if Rosie can not do that with Sincerity and true GENUINESs... it is a disgrace to human kindness. This is a mere example of why Westerners are falsely perceived as immorral... without class... lack of respect for others and unfortunate poor etiquette. Thank you.

I think that Rosie is ruining the veiw for valid followers of the show. Yes the ratings have been good, however, I think they are appealing to a demographic that is more in the the same league as Jerry Springer meets Geraldo meets the Enquirer. Donald is a very wise man who has made many decisions that have made him successful. I know that Rosie thinks Donald has no right to deem himself a moral compass; however, niether does she or anyone else for that matter. Let's leave that one to God.

Rosie and Donald are both pathetic bullies and should go to hell. If you're going to open your mouth and trash others, then be prepared for the firstorm that erupts later. Don't expect Barbara or others to defend you. Rosie is just as inconsiderate as the Donald. If what he says about Barbara is true (Barb regretting the hiring of Rosie), then he is a rotten excuse for a friend. You don't just go and tell the world what someone else confided to you whenever it suits you. I don't know why Donald called Rosie all these names like fat pig and unattractive when the same thing can be said about him. The only difference between Rosie and Trump is his ego- it's so big, it's rediculous. They both are losers in their own right and just need to disappear.

Barbara should examine who she considers to be "personal friends". Trump exposed her as a liar and a backstabbing boss. If he lied about their conversations - then how would you be complacent about his comments. If he didn't lie, and exposed your personal comments to further his own hate agenda against Rosie - it should still be painful to have a friend drag you and your personal comments into the debate. He makes Barbara look bad. No one on the show should trust Barbara. Star learned that lesson a short time ago. People need to learn whether it is personal or business - they cannot trust the Trump because he will use whatever information he has to hurt someone, no matter how many others in hurts in the crossfire.

when it gets right down to it, why does BW need to have Rosie's back? Rosie is the one who got herself into this mess, so she has no one to blame but herself. if she's going to open her mouth and make the ridiculous statements that she has made in recent history, then she needs to be willing to take the blame for herself and realize that not everyone agrees with her or will support her in her quest to bash everyone with whom she has a grief. She has crossed the line, for sure, but it was way back when she first started on her path to demoralized people. Like I said, she has no one to blame but herself, and if she chooses to continue on with her antics, then she alone is the one who needs to suffer the consequences, and she should not expect her co-workers to join in on the drudgery and slander.

This would all be over if Donald would have shut his mouth but he bleepd himself on every show out there, though it was all in vain because his show didnt get very good ratings. He is a racist anyway, the only reason he let Tara Connor off with a free pass is because she is more of the American ideal of beauty where Tamiko Nash is exotic, older, more mature, and got her BS and is a teacher she just happens to be black. Tamiko should have won in the first place.

In fact, if I remember correctly there were comments to the effect that Barbara skirted actually calling Trump a liar and denying what he said when the show aired. Rosie's not dumb and she calls it like it is. She would probably expect the same. This only created more drama and gave Trump more reason to keep running his mouth, which is what he has been trying to do to keep his name in the news. I can understand, I guess, the skirting thing, maybe she did say that to Donald (which would be stupid considering his media whoring) and didn't want to outright lie, but I cannot understand why she would not have called Rosie before making her statement. That is just poor planning and bad communication.

Rosie likes to make mean statements about people. Christians as a whole can't seem to fire back at Rosie. Kelly Ripa fired back. The Chinese fired back. Donald Trump fired back -- but then he was just as unflattering to her as she was to him. Problem is, Rosie is like a bully who thinks she can say any rotten thing about anyone; then, when HER feelings get hurt, she expexts "mama" (aka Barbara Walters) to come to her rescue -- when SHE started the war of words. I came from a large family, where one child was sure to pick on another. We also came from a town that was not nice. My mom always said, "Don't start anything... but make sure you finish it. And if you start anything, don't come running to me to clean up your mess." Rosie, don't start anything you can't finish -- and don't expect Barbara to clean up your mess. Personally, I don't really like Rosie, or Trump.

Okay, I must have missed it when her show failed...she walked away from the show, the show didn't fail. Her musical and magazine both did and she acknowledges that.
