FACEBOOKi think winning the oscar went to reese's head. i don't think she is all that good a actress. ryan can do so much better and i saw the previews of his new film stop loss and it looks like a great movie. do i hear oscar for ryan? i 'll bet reese wasn't little miss pure either.

Ryan Phillippe has said he was suicidal after his 2006 split with wife of seven years Reese Witherspoon.
“After the divorce, I was a physical wreck. I wanted to die,” he told the Autumn-Winter 2007-2008 of U.K. magazine Man About Town. “I was ready to kill myself. I was not taking care of myself at all. I would wake up and cry and vomit.”
The actor, 33 – who shares custody of their children, Ava, 8, and Deacon, 4 — says the experience has ultimately made him a better actor: He can cry faster on cue.
“Now, it’s f---king easy," he says. "When I was younger, I didn’t have enough to cry about. But since I’ve had kids, I feel my work has become better, because my life is fuller and more complicated, and I’ve experienced so many highs and lows.”
Phillippe will return to big screen in the March drama Stop Loss — which again teams him with former flame Abbie Cornish, who he was seeing right before he split with Witherspoon — but don't expect him to star in any commercials anytime soon.
He dissed Catherine Zeta-Jones' decision to star in T-Mobile ads, saying, "When I see her in a movie it’s hard to disassociate the two.”

I feel really bad for him. I'm sure he wanted to leave the marriage for reasons that he has chosen not to share with the world but he also said that he felt so badly because of the impact the divorce had on his children and the ugliness of the situation. He never said he wished he wasn't getting divorced. Why is that so hard for people to understand.

It's sad that this union ended, they seemed so happy. The fact that both have said that they were so wounded by the split shows me how much they really loved each other. I hope they have sought help to cope with the end of this union and continue to successfully co-parent their kids. It's nice to know that even sexy movie stars have trouble with divorce.

The comments of the oh he cheated and that's why the marriage ended must come from very young girls or people who have never been in a relationship. Trust me the cheating comes at the end of a very long road.
If he did "cheat" which no one knows for sure I doubt it was any shock to Reese and not the only reason for the divorce.
People really need to grow up or get a life.

You seem to think every one is trolling you. Are you paranoid or are you confused as to the fact that Jennifer is, in fact, a common American name? My mother's was spelled Jenifer. Now, if you had chosen that spelling, I might have to agree that maybe you had been trolled upon.
I rarely read the comments and/or post my own on the Us site - however, when I do, I see you have already put on multiple comments and they are usually in fits or seeking attention. This is wayy old news! We don't know if Ryan really cheated or not, it was just reported that he did. Maybe other aspects contributed to their split. I hope Reese and Ryan find happiness even if it's not with each other.

Cheating is callous, Windy, but like my earlier post said we don't know if that's what even happened. Neither one has said that's the reason for the divorce. They were having problems from the day they got married. When your husband flat out tells a magazine that the only reason he married you is because he knocked you up...that's a red flag that your marriage might not make it. They were in couple's counseling for 7 years trying to make this work, it didn't, and it's sad. But let's not be so quick to pass judgment when we don't have any conclusive proof that he did anything wrong.

I see your point... because if it had been someone more known with a more famous wife it might have been different. I realize things go wrong in marriages and such but the only thing I can say is why cheat... if you are that unhappy why demean yourself and your partner just because u are unhappy. Windy, her image may be tarnished to YOU but to the general public, she remains the same. Maybe it's because she "married down" in a sense and her husband's not, say, Brad Pitt - he's a cameraman so he's not high profile. People think that Ryan should be lucky that he was with Reese being that she makes more money than him and all so that's where all the backlash is coming from.
