Sacha & Isla: Borat Star’s Real-Life Love

 INFGoff.com “I love him,” Wedding Crashers actress Isla Fisher gushes to Us Weekly of her fiancé, Borat’s Sacha Baron Cohen. “He always makes me laugh. He’s the funniest guy in the world!” But when it comes to their upcoming nuptials, they are so serious, says a source close to the comedian, 35, they’ve waited to wed until Fisher, 30, completed her study of Judaism and fully converted to Cohen’s religion. A source close to the couple confirms the conversion was completed, and another pal tells Us, “They will get married soon.” Fisher, who is currently shooting the comedy Definitely, Maybe, “has studied Hebrew and learned to cook traditional recipes,” adds the friend. I'm just wondering if Cohen is a 'Kohen' in the true sense, as people who consider themselves Kohen in the Jewish orthodox relion believe they are directly decended from Aaron (brother of Moses). If this is true - Kohens aren't allowed to marry converts.
But religion shouldn't stop true love - I wish them the best of luck.

For those who aren't aware, Judaism is more than one movement. I believe Sasha is an Orthodox, probably modern. I hope that his lady undergoes conversion that meets with the approval of Cohen's Orthodox shul (temple). I converted to Conservative Judaism four years ago, and the first thing you are asked, in front of a "court" of learned members of the community, is "WHY do you want to be Jewish?". You basically have to really, really want to be approved and I know it's harder if you are undergoing an Orthodox Conversion.
