Dancing With the Stars co-host Samantha Harris will not be appearing on the premiere of the wildly popular dance competition on Monday night, but with good reason: She gave birth on Sunday to a baby girl, Josselyn Sydney Hess.

Josselyn weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces and was 20 inches long and is the first child of Harris and her financial wholesaler husband, Michael Hess.

"Michael and I are ecstatic to have a little girl to welcome into our lives," Harris told E! Online. "We can't wait to introduce her to our family and friends in the morning!"

Both mother and child were doing well, publicist Shara Koplowitz told the Associated Press.

Harris, 33, is also a correspondent for E! News and has worked as a special correspondent for Good Morning America. She has also had small roles in such films as George of the Jungle, D3: The Mighty Ducks, and Drop Dead Gorgeous.

Who will fill in for Harris on the fifth season of Dancing With the Stars is anyone’s guess.

"They told me we'll just have to wait and see," Koplowitz told the AP. "It's a surprise."
