Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds are making it official!
Johansson, 23, and Reynolds, 31, who have been dating since Spring 2007, are engaged, their rep confirms to Usmagazine.com.
Reynolds was engaged to singer Alanis Morissette. They split in February 2007 after four years together.
Johansson was previously dating Josh Hartnett.
In February, it was reported that the actress was seen shopping for wedding dresses at a Monique Lhuillier boutique in L.A. with her mother and sister.
But her rep told Us, "A family member is getting married, not her. She is not engaged."

6:54--I completely agree with you. People should not judge you because you are young. My mother married my father three days after she turned 16 and 22 years later they are still married and in love. They didn't marry for any other reason than love and they are still going strong. Good luck, I know that if you guys are really in love, you will be happy.
3:10--Your comments are very cynical. I'm not sure if you or someone you know had a failed marriage, but that doesn't mean that it happens to everyone.

First, SJ is between 5'4"-5'5" and 115# max. That is technically petite - she just has a major rack - so to call her a big girl is not only inaccurate, its ridiculous.
But. To me, these two just do not make sense as a couple. For all her endowment both talent-wise and physically, Johanssen is clearly intelligent and deep. Reynolds is cute and cut, with a forgettable series of light-weight movies going. Unless he is a very exceptional person, I can't imagine that there won't be professional jealousy. She is a serious actor with a much bigger body of film work and is far more successful than he. With her cosmetics endorsements and work-out wear line, she likely earns circles around him, and so successful that she is able to record and release a music CD - For FUN! - and even that is being taken quasi-seriously. Time will tell, but even if they are completely infatuated and in love their chances of having an equal partnership appear to be non-existent.

For the record- she is not a big girl as someone mentioned. And she is not "preggers"- what a stupid assumption to make. As for their age difference- really, are you kidding me? 8 yrs is not a huge diff- and 31 is not old. Many women are ready for marital bliss at age 23 and even younger- seeing how its not your life than why do you care?? I wish them the best of luck and hopefully they will be perfectly happy despite the scrutiny some of you are placing on them.
