We feel for Scarlett Johansson, we really do. Because a few years ago, we thought we were Nicole Kidman and dyed our hair a lovely shade of strawberry blonde. But then, months later, we tried to go back to regular blonde and our hair fell out, and suddenly people in restaurants and bars were asking if we knew where the men’s room was. And our hair took on a color that could only be seen under black light.
So we totally felt ScarJo’s pain last night when her hair showed up to the U.K. premiere of The Prestige in a color usually reserved for high-fructose children’s cereals.
On November 2, the 21-year-old actress was spotted getting her hair colored at London’s John Frieda salon. After many hours, she finally left at 11 p.m., and witnesses say she had a sheet over her head to shield her hair from photographers.
Luckily, Scarlett is one of our more mature Hollywood starlets and took the incident in stride, boldly pimping her orange-pink hair at the premiere three days later, rather than canceling on the event. The guilty hairstylists should be happy it wasn't Lindsay Lohan, who surely would have ordered her publicist to burn the salon to the ground, and then had the offending colorist skinned and turned into a stylish topcoat to wear to her next outing at Hyde.
In other news, who wants to be the one to tell Jessica Simpson that the bottom half of her hair is a good three shades darker than the top?
