The Dancing With the Stars contestants may not have powers, but we expect heroic efforts from them nonetheless. This season's untrained celebrity ballrooom guinea pigs include Jennie Garth, Melanie Brown, Mark Cuban, Wayne Newton, Marie Osmond, and Jane Seymour. Our early faves are Mel B, who's Spice Girls show-woman-ship and attitude give her the "girl power" to tackle anything from Eddie Murphy on down, and Mark Cuban, who's super competitive business instincts and goofiness make him the season's potential big turnaround story.
Adding to tonight's drama, host Samantha Harris gave birth to a baby girl this weekend, and producers don't have anyone to replace her yet.
Dancing With the Stars premieres tonight at 8pm on ABC.

The Cheetah Girl; Sabrina was awesome; everyone else looked like a beginner. She is the female to beat and I think the race car driver is going to give the men a run for their money as he has the best partner and he looks in the best condition. I hope they have some oxygen on the side for Wayne and Cheryl; they both look like they need to drop some lbs.

I think Drew Lachey sucked..I am not a huge Samantha fan, but at least she was ok, Drew was just bad.. and I think it is a race between Mel B and the cheetah girl..the model and Jenie Garth were bad.

Three nights in a row is hard keep up when there's other things to do in the evening. I try to watch the results show to see all the dances back to back. It saves time.

i don't know if I'll stick around through the whole season this year, but since Samantha is gone, I just might. I never saw the first season, but wondered why in the heck they replaced the other woman. i think this show has kind of had it's run....especially having Billy Ray last year...ugh.
