Actress Selma Blair and actor Ahmet Zappa are officially divorced after two years of marriage.

After dating for six months, the couple married on January 24, 2004, in a traditional Jewish ceremony at the Beverly Hills mansion of actress Carrie Fisher. Blair filed for divorce in June 2006 citing "irreconcilable differences." Court papers of a final judgment were entered on November 27 in Los Angeles Superior Court.

This was the first marriage for both. They have no children.

Blair, 34, is rumored to be dating actor Johnny Messner, who she met while filming The Sweetest Thing in 2002. The actress first rose to fame with roles in such films as Cruel Intentions and Legally Blonde. She has seven movies in the works, including Purple Violets, costarring Debra Messing, and Homeland Security, which also stars Meg Ryan and Antonio Banderas.

Zappa, 32, is the son of the late legendary musician Frank Zappa. In July, Ahmet released his debut novel, The Monstrous Memoirs of a Mighty McFearless, the rights to which have been bought by Disney.

The Jim Henson Company has also hired him to write a treatment for a film version of the 1980s television program Fraggle Rock.
