Sheryl Crow Adopts!

 Jean-Paul Aussenard/WireImage.com Sheryl Crow might be a little too busy for any fun-having and sun-soaking in the foreseeable future. The 45-year-old singer/songwriter announced on her website today that she has adopted a baby boy. A source close to Sheryl tells Us, “She’s super happy. He was born two weeks ago, and she’s just over the moon.” The singer's rep confirms to Usmagazine.com that the adoption is a done deal. Crow, whose engagement to Tour de France champ/McConaughey BFF, Lance Armstrong, was called off in February 2006, is currently single. She told fans via her site that she named the baby Wyatt, after her father, and Steven after her "little brother and Scooter." I'm sorry, but I'm not one bit happy for this nitwit. The baby is adorable, but she is a VERY VOCAL pro-abortion supporter, who doesn't deserve this precious child. What if all unwanted pregnancies ended in abortion. You wouldn't have a son, Sheryl you freak.

Can't believe that i am posting. But after reading some of the other posts, i had to put my two cents in. I know some of you are on the same page as i am and others are just somewhere out in left field. Best of luck to Sheryl Crow!! let's think about this...she has had relationships that were strong and didn't last.(who hasn't?) BUT she never got pregnant for the sake of being pregnant. She wanted love and that "2 parent family". I give her credit for following her dreams of becoming a Mother. Maybe, with her age and chemo treatments..she thought it would be best for her future child if she didn't carry the child herself. Adoption is not the "in" thing to do. People have been doing it for years. It's just that the rest of us are finally finding out about all the poor kids that go from home to home to home, without the feeling of a "family". and for those of us that can't have children on our own..adoption is a way to give that overflowing, burst of love that you have, to a child that might never have the love that you have to give. Best of luck to all...From a Mom AND Dad of twin boys through invitro and the loss of 2 failed adoptions. Looking forward to becoming foster parents.

Why would you think Sheryl adopted so she doesn't ruin her body? She is over 40 and could very well be infertile OR she could just be a very caring and giving person and decided rather than get artificially inseminated she would adopt a child who needed a loving home. So, you think it's better for a child to remain in foster care (and be switched around every couple years or more frequently) or to grow up in an international orphanage and possibly never be adopted than for a woman with finanical and other resources to adopt a child. I think it's marvelous that women who are financially, emotionally, socially secure are choosing to adopt and provide a home and a future for a child. And, frankly, in our society, sometimes it can be challenging to find good men who actually can date and commit to marriage. Sheryl Crow is but a public example of what a lot of educated, ambitious women face (at least those over 35). Makes it tricky for a woman who may have always wanted to be a mother. Think about that before making hasty judgments.

what happened to 'mom and dad', are there not enough children with their parents in different homes already? Let alone bring a child to a one parent home in the very beginning? Seems adopting a child is more a fashion assessory than planning for the future, or thinking about the child carrying the stigma of being adopted by a selfish individual who does not wish to have a lasting relationship BEFORE bringing a child into their life, allowing the child two parents!!!

Who cares if she doesn't want to ruin her body. does that make adopting a baby bad? These children need homes and if a woman who is well into her 40's and has an awsome bod who doesn't want to get pregnant but wants to b a mom wants to adopt then who are we to say that it's wrong? Every woman has the right to b a mother whether it's a pregnancy or an adoption. Either way we have these (motherly) desires and if she chooses to adopt instead then so b it. I think it's great. There are so many American children wo homes. I love that Ange went to other countries to adopt but there are children right here in our own country who are suffering through the system.

Nowadays the people in hollywood have been trading in the poodles and high priced puppy's for little orphan children.Oh, thats the new fad. its the "in thing to do". But what the world fails to realize is that these people are actually doing it out of selfishness. Lemme break it down for you! Sheryl "Can" have children, But she won't becouse she doesnt want to destroy that good ol body that she has kept up for so much years. God forbid she gets a stretch mark. She copies everyone else in the biz with the whole adoption thing. Usually celebs who pull a stunt like this, Are actually going through a low point in their careers and they want to adopt so the papparazzi can be all over them again and the rumers start again and Sheryl Crow will be all over the news again. She's not doing it becouse she loves the child, She's doing it out of selfishness. When she's away on a tour for 3 months or something, The nanny will just raise the child. These people are never home! But she's rich so the nanny will pick up the slack. Thats why you notice that all these celebs who adopt actually adopt a child out of the country or privatly, Becouse they know that if they go to an agency (which they are supposed to do), The agency will first ask them, How can you raise this child when your'e never home? i know this all too well. I once was a poor black kid from brooklyn who grew up across the street from a lady who kept a household of adopted kids becouse she wanted the money from the city. So i know what this is from the jump.(Sheryl) doesn't want the city's money (Of course not) but she wants money in other ways and an adopted child would be the next tool to do so. But keep in mind that adopted children grow up to be adults who will sooner or later recognize the real reason why they were adopted in the first place.and you will pay the price. Shout out to Steven Speilberg who adopted way back in the 70's. He did it genuinely. Even when the big boys in Hollywood told him that if he did it, His career would be finished. He still did it! We know who's real and who's not! P.S. - A junky once told me "Yall are looking for the onliest thing that doesn't even exist".

Hello, yes I just wanted to say how THRILLED I'am for Sheryl on adopting her new son. Adoption is just such an amazing thing. I'm so glad that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt made it so in Fashion to adopt as people who can have children naturally just don't get it and take it all for GRANTED. Here in Alberta Canada, adoption is just HUGE and we just love our newly adopted son. Congratulations Sheryl, you will make an amazing mother. Sincerely, Carol.
