It must be great to get that kind of support from Simon Cowell, He is a self made man and deserves to be so succesful as he really knows what he is talking about when it comes to the entertainment business.

He his a big softy at heart, but does not bear fools gladly.

I would love to ask you for a donation but don't really feel justified in doing that as I dont even know you.

The type of Cancer that I have I have been told is incureable and will no doubt kill me off quite quickly. What really maddens me is there are treatments that may not cure it,but will certainly slow it down for long periods of time.

I live in the North East of England, The drugs you need are not supported by my Health Authority. but if I lived in Scotland they are.

It just does not make sense to me,I thought life was the most precious thing we had.

I agree with Anonymous 3:41 PM. Charity shouldn't be broadcasted; it should be done quietly. Yes, it is a wonderful and generous thing, but it should only be done to benefit the recipients; not the benefactors.

I believe Oprah gave 10 million of her own money to Katrina victims. She had new home built and her tv viewers were able to donate furniture and other items for those home on her wibsite. this way those unfortunate people could walk into their new home and they was furnished and ready to go. She has done more for this country and people around the world than any other celebrity and part of publicly announcing it is to get others that have more than their fair share, to help as well. How many houses, cars etc does anyone need? Giving feels great and she's leading the way. keep it up oprah.

So what if they get publicity for making donations! That doesnt take away from the donation and it still helps people. I doubt any of you donate even close to what Oprah donates.
