Who We Think Should Win Dance!

Going into the third week the semi-finals of So You Think You Can Dance last night, we were anxious to see if America would switch up their voting strategy and actually kick off the worst dancers. The Ricky/Jimmy debacle, which resulted in two of the show’s best male dancers exiting far too prematurely, was just too much for Us to bear.

We’re not thrilled Jesus and Jessi, two middle-of-the pack-dancers, were sent packing this week while Cedric lives to dance another day, but at least the voting public is taking baby steps in the right direction.

But Hok and Jaime Goodwin won our praises this week for their Wade Robson-choreographed jazz routine, which effortlessly showcased both dancers’ strengths. If ever there was a choreographer who could allow Hok to flip and spin on his head as he flew through like a hummingbird, Robson is it. These two deserve a spot in the final four, and here’s hoping for a Hok/Jaime and Lacey/Kameron face-off.

Danny Tidwell rightfully earned this week’s Mary Murphy scream after performing a Dan Karaty styled hip-hop routine with partner Anya. If it was up to Us, though, Karaty would again assume his spot at the judging table and leave the choreographing to Robson - these dancers deserve more!

Jessi Peralta, who was medically excused from Wednesday’s performance with Pasha, proved to be the night’s most talked about contestant. Under a doctor’s care after experiencing shortness of breath during rehearsals, Peralta was in danger of automatic elimination as a result of her absence. With a clean bill of health, she took to the stage for a final time last night to impress the judges with her signature hip-hop style, but it was just not enough to make the cut.

Talk to Us: Did Jessi and Jesus deserve to get the boot?
