Note to Star Jones: Yet another opportunity for you to be brought into the spotlight. You obviously have to make yourself known every chance you get, talk about being in the sunset of your life, girl, your sun has set!
What is so annoying about you is that you are always quick to advise people about bowing out with grace and dignity. Why didn't you apply those principles when you were working every freebie for your vulgar wedding.
NOW would be a great time for you to fade to black with grace and dignity.
And as for the Baba, hadn't you retired? You're still on tv practically every day - give it up for someone else to fill your shoes!

Star Jones is speaking out against Barbara Walters for including her in her new memoir, Audition.
In the book, Walters claims Jones forced her to lie about her gastric bypass surgery on The View. Walters also reveals that she had an affair with then-married Senator Edward Brooke during the 1970s.
Usmagazine.com caught up with Jones (who recently split from husband Al Reynolds) as she left a tennis workout in NYC Wednesday.
“It is a sad day when an icon like Barbara Walters, in the sunset of her life, is reduced to publicly branding herself as an adulterer, humiliating an innocent family with accounts of her illicit affair and speaking negatively against me all for the sake of selling a book," Jones told Us. "It speaks to her true character.”

Oh, what crap!
Please bring back moronic Paris Hilton stories.
At least she's a topic we all agree we do not like.
most people that tell the truth about thing when they get older are either sick or dying and want to clear their countion before they leave earth.it still don't give bar a reason to talk star, the book is suppose to be about her, well GOD BLESS THEM BOTH,life is to short to want to argue over dumb stuff, forgive each other and go on with life.
STAR NEEDS TO KEEP HER MOUTH SHUT. ALL HER TALKING HAS GOTTON HER JUST WHERE SHE IS, NOWHERE...AND AS LONG AS SHE CONTINUES TO TALK SHE WILL CONTINUE TO HOST TV SHOWS THAT NO ONE WILL EVER WATCH. MAYBE SHE IS JEALOUS THAT BARBARA'S BOOK PROBABLY WILL NOT END UP ON THE STREET CORNERS OF NEW YORK IN THE 3 BOOKS FOR $5.00 BOX LIKE HERS
JUDGE NOT AND MAYBE NO ONE WILL JUDGE
YOU.....
I was so totally surprised when I heard Barbara Walters confessing the affair with a married senator from years past. Has she no shame! What good did it do to bring all of this out in the open now and shame the family of the man who has kept it to himself all these years. There is a saying that some things are best kept to yourself and taken to your grave. This was probably one of those things AND, as for the girls on the View....surprising how quiet they are about their bosses' affair. If it had been anyone else, the tongues would have been wagging. Shame on ALL OF YOU! I had so much respect for Barbara, but, no longer. She's no better the Washington madams/call girls.
I agree with ks. Starlet lied. Babs kept quiet. Star, shut up.
Barbara, didn't tell about her business, when she was screwing around with a married man, why should Star Jones , tell about her surgey, it's her business. She don't owe the public nothing.
I don't know what to think about Barbara Walters. She was a role model in the mid-70s and has accomplished a lot. On one hand, I admire and respect her for being gutsy enough to tell the truth about her life. On the other hand, it's just more gossip that I really don't need to know, especially the affair. That being said, I tivo'd Oprah and the ABC special with Charlie Gibson and loved the Oprah interview (watching Charlie tonight).
Regarding Star. I like Star, fat or thin, although didn't like her wedding antics or how she handled her weight loss because she mislead us. As a former overweight woman who had weight loss surgery 22 months ago (lap band, not gastic bypass), she shouldn't have lied about how she was losing the weight. Understanding that it is a very personal matter, she is a public figure, and her lies hurt her credibility with me, no comment would have been a better route to take, even though there would have been speculation. Her announcement about how she lost the weight was timed to coincide with the premiere of her court tv talk show so her weight loss was used was, like her wedding & engagement, and most everything else in her life. She could have done a lot of good by being honest about her struggle with her weight and been a role model to those of us who struggle with the same demons. Star, it's time to grow up and no comment would be appreciated occassionally.

where is elisabeth??? that phony hasn't said one word about her "morals" and views about marriage and adultry. sherri, too for that matter. she has been very open about her husband cheating on her, and how she feels about it. bunch of suck ups who don't have the balls to go toe to toe with BW. they would have hung anyone else on the cross!
This is a reply for SterlingSilverLover....
Dont assume every women is capable of having an affair with a married man because you have and dont regret it. Not all women or men for that matter cheat, but most people such as yourself who do cheat or help another cheat need to justify your actions by stating or assuming everyone does it. Personally your simply telling yourself whatever you have to, in order to feel better about your own actions.
I dont judge your actions, people who cheat I am sure for the most part have their reasons...but who are you to state that every women has slept with a married man.
Oh, and news flash....marriage is a statement of commitement , no more ..no less. I am sure you believe in relatioships right...well, ..marriage is simply a celebration of that relationship. And careful sweetie, cause you dont need to be married to be cheated on..and what goes around comes around in this world.

Barbara Walters is far from being the dignified and respectful person she claims to be. She's an old has-been and, apparently, former Washington tart. For someone as smart as she is, I can't believe she hasn't figured out that having 'emotional issues' is actually part of what makes us human. When she became weepy as she talked about her late sister, is it safe to say that she was full of 'rage' ???
Incredibly sad. Barbara Walters obviously needs something else to do vs. trying to make a big buck. (And she will make a Big Buck thanks to Oprah!). My question, why smear the Brooks family name at this late date? Some will surely do anything to stay in the lime light, right Barb?
Barbra Walters, is the one who needs to get over herself! She sits on the view actng so high and mighty at times and acting like she would never does anything wrong but after hearing her tell all in her book we see that's not at all the case. I think Star was telling the truth it does speak to the kind of person barbra is. It's funny I don't hear noone on the view condeming Barbra for having an affair with a married man no quite the opposite it's like everyone is proud of her but I bet if it was anyother celebrity she would be talked about all day long on that show as a home wrecker. Barbra is pitiful and after the things Star said and then Rosie following I do believe she would say or do just about anything to cover her own butt. You just keep doing what your doing Star the truth always wins over a bunch of lies!!!
Star Jones really needs to get over herself......
I believe Barbara, but than we could see
the greed in Star!
Oh" like none of Hollywood has ever had an
affair with a married person! give me a break!
Look at Star now leaving AL for another man!
as Star states "he's just a friend"
yeah right, get real!
Star, really thinks she all that! NOT!!!!!!!!
Such a shame. Why can't a lot successful women ever get along with each other? Most men don't don't care about this crap.( except Donald Trump LOL!) I see it every day with the women who are in higher positions in the hospital I work. One minute they are all sitting around talking and gossping at lunch. The next minute somebody gets up from thet table and the women who are left can't help but tear down the lady who left. Women should really be more supportive of each other. So sad!!!
Star Jones....Who gives a crap. I guess she will discuss anything except for the fact that the only man that would marry her material a** just so happens to be a Butt Bandit.......
Star Jones needs to get over herself. Barbara Walters told the truth and sometimes the truth isn’t pretty but she isn’t hiding and lying like Star. Star Jones admitted that she wasn't living the truth to glamour magazine. It was an article that she wrote herself, how pathetic is that, she is a control freak. She only wants to tell her version of the "half" truth, the lie. She wants to create her own persona of herself. She doesn't want other people to tell the other part of the truth. She is sad, she is disgusting, she is a liar and this is why everything in her life is failing. Regardless of what Barbara said or did in her life, her life isn't built on a lie or at least at this point she has decided to come clean about everything in her life. Her life was interesting enough without the Star story, Star wants to be the center of attention, positive attention. So anything that is contrary to that, she lies about. Everyone wants to be thought good of but at some point, living your truth means telling the truth, not your imagined, recreated version of a truth. I lost every ounce of respect for star, every single ounce, and I was a BIG fan of hers, when she came out and told that lie on the show, she knew she lied, we knew she lied, and it was HER decision to tell the lie and it’s not about Barbara Walters selling a book. I am so sick of her and instead of being the inpiration that she could have been she is an embarrassment to women everywhere! I wish she would tell the truth or just shut up already!
I agree with Star Jones in this instance. B.W. comes across as being very needy. Lately the co-hosts on The View are fawning all over her, perhaps it is contract signing time again, although of late The View seems to have morphed into a religious program at times between Sherri and the obnoxious narrow-minded Elisabeth. I watched The View yesterday and frankly if this homage to B.W. continues much longer I will have to stop watching because it is just too much. Until this last week I always thought B.W. was a class act. Not anymore! I find it unprofessional to discuss in the media or a book why an ex-employee was let go/terminated. I am sure all of us would not like it one bit if our employers did this to us, so why should Star and Rosie be any different. I was never a great fan of Star Jones but I do feel that if she felt she wanted to keep it private as to why she was losing weight, that was no one's business but her own. Not yours, or mine. The same with the married man. B.W. did not consider she was a mistress, well she was! She committed adultery with a married man. Again, that was her business. What I find objectionable is that she felt fit to inform the World of this. She did not show remorse or shame at all towards the family of this man. I cannot believe she needs the money that bad, so I have come to the conclusion that B.W. has a needy emotional need or void to fill and after watching her on The View and Oprah this week, that became quite apparent. Oh, and in answer to SterlingSilverLover, don't judge us all by your actions. I have been happily married for 27 years. I for one, have never had an affair with a married man, nor do I plan on having one either, and I know plenty of women who haven't. Perhaps there are many women out there who have, but there are probably very many women who have not!
So says the woman who sold her soul for freebies for her ill-fated wedding. I'm no Barbara Walters fan (I watched The View years ago when I would be home from school and during the summers, and the only ones I didn't hate were Debbie Matenopoulous [sp?], Lisa Ling, and Joy Behar. I don't watch it now but I like Sherry Sheppard [sp?] from other shows she's been on. The rest were so annoying that they ruined the show for me) and even I think this is out of line. Star Jones has done her fair share of selling out, and in all reality, if the Senator is no longer married, why not discuss the affair? Perhaps you shouldn't have an affair with a woman who made her career as a journalist because there would always be the possibility that she would one day bring that affair to life in her writings. I feel bad for his family, but give me a break, no one cares when anyone sifts through the history of anyone elses life (the Kennedy's, Marilyn Monroe, Bill Clinton, any other political, historical, or entertainment figure). Star Jone's is nuts to think no one knew about the bypass surgery. She lied about it saying she didn't lose it that fase (yeah right!) and she only spoke about it years later. Newsflash, no one cared then and no one cares now, but don't bold face lie and then get annoyed when someone you probably begged not to tell the truth eventually spills the beans way after you already acknowledged your "secret" publicly. I swear, both of these women are ridiculous. How either became as famous as they did is a mystery to me. This isn't news, this is water cooler talk and no one even cares. And how sweet of her to call it the "sunset" of Barbara's career. She might be old but she's way more famous and distinguished than Star Jones.
You know, Barbara is funny! How come she has all this bad sh!t to say about her ex-coworkers? Who give her the right to post such these stories at the celeb and wealthy men club _wealthychats.c om_? Personally I can't stand Barbara, not only because she will never be able to pronounce an R, but the fact that she talks so much smack about people she has worked with...
Barbara Watler is a very angry bitter old bitty. Did she happen to mention what disease she spread around during her elicit affair. And get off Star Jones titty old bitty. Oprah I am surprised at you for being a nosey bit**. I am so finish with all the stupid shows and people on Tv. Anyone who buys or read Barbara's book is a stupid idiot.
Who are we to judge? I've never liked BW: she is a lier and it's written on her face. I think that SJ was pretty before her surgery. She looks old and ugly now.
As for the whole situation:IT'S ALL ABOUT MONEY, as everything in North America. Barbara promotes her book, Star promotes herself: she has no job now and, probably, hopes to find one using this publicity.
And to all women on board: I don't believe that you've never slept with a married man at least ones in your life. I did. Do I regret doing so? Not really... From my perspective marrige is so last millenium and divorce rate shows it.
I AGRRE WITH STARR. QUESTION; ARE WE ALL SINNERS? IS KEEPING THE WAY YOU LOOSE WEIGHT A SIN. OPRAH SEEMED TO ENJOY THE TRASH TALKING ABOUT STARR BECAUSE SHE IS JEALOUS THAT STARR BEAT HER HAVING THE SURGERY. THE ONLY WAY OPRAH CAN GET THE WEGHT OFF IS TO FOLLOW IN STARR SHOES. WHO CARES WHAT PEOPLE THINK OR SAY IT IS YOUR BODY DO WHAT WORKS BEST FOR YOU. SO FAR STARR'S SURGERY SEEMS TO HAVE WORKED FOR HER. IF YOU LOOSE THE WEIGHT OF A WHOLE HUMAN BEING OFF OF YOU; YOU PROBABLY WOULD SING HER SONG TOO. TO TO BE BRAVE ENOUGH AND FINANCIALLY ABLE IS A BLESSING. NO MATTER WHO IT IS. TO BE ASHAMED OR FEEL AS LIKE A FAILURE BECAUSE OF IT, IS A WRONG WAY TO THINK. STARR HAS NO REASON TO HANG HER HEAD. FOOD IS AN ADDICTION. SURGERY IS THE WAY A LOT OF US ARE IMPROVING OURSELVES TODAY COSMETICALLY OR HEALTH WISE. BREAKING ONE OF THE TEN COMMANDMENTS IS WHOLE DIFFERENT STORY.
I wrote an email to Star Jones when she first hosted the Academy Awards red carpet arrivals. Her behavior on the red carpet for E! or TV Guide was appalling! So I wrote her about it via email (when they gave you that option on The View website) and I simply told her it made me ill. She responded and she was mean hateful and cruel in her response. She doesnt like criticism. She doesnt like to be told that what she does and or how she behaves in the name of her line of work - doesnt always suit people who are watching and or how it comes across.
BW is selling a book. Star Jones would never even have had a chance on The View if it were for BW, being the Pioneer in the Media Mens Club. Being a trailblazer people want to take credit where credit isnt due. SJ would have liked to have been the one to blaze that trail - she is light years from ever being a BW and or a credible journalist.
I always thought that being a credible journalist is that you tell the truth - I think that says it all.
Babs is lookin' a little freaky, don't ya think? Not to mention SENILE! I wish she'd just go away . . . she doesn't do any good at all. And why won't she call out any men? Why is it always women? Why won't she put the hard questions to Tom Cruise and John Travolta (to name only two) and call them out on their freaky "religion" known as Scientology? Babs is not a woman's woman. She's a man's woman. Does that make any sense? Sorry, but I think you know what I mean. She's selling a book and she's trashing other women on her way to the bank. RETIRE. Now.
