Former Jackass star Steve-O made a brief appearance for a progress hearing at L.A. Superior Court Criminal Tuesday morning.

Judge Hank Goldberg exonorated Steve O's $10,000 bond and ordered him to appear again on August 11.

On Monday, Steve-O blogged that he returned to a mental institution to stay sober after problems with cocaine, ketamine, pcp, nitrous oxide and other drugs.

"I'm in the pysch unit of the recovery hospital," the prankster told Usmagazine.com Tuesday.

"It is a long hard process and I'm fighting my way through it," he said. "Some days are better than others."

The 33-year-old said he entered voluntarily on the advice of his psychiatrist. He's been clean for 120 days.

"It's common for people who have done as much drugs as I have and who suffer from mood disorders and bipolar to really struggle with bumps in the road," he told Us.

"I'd like to dispel the myth that you get clean and sober and everything is fine and will power is the way and everything is cool 'cause it's hard," he added.

Steve-O – who was hospitalized at a mental health unit of L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in March – pleaded guilty to felony cocaine possession in June and was ordered to attend rehab for two years.
