· Pam and Jim fans weep as Office star Steve Carell's decision to strike with the show's writers ends production.

· But hey, at least they're shooting videos from the picket lines!

· Speaking of the picket lines, Ellen DeGeneres crossed them on Tuesday to shoot an episode of her talk show, saying, "I love my writers," but "people have traveled across country [to see the show]. I want to do everything I can do to make [their] trip enjoyable and give [them] a show."

· And if there is any silver-lining to the strike, it's that tourists in Los Angeles need only go to their nearest studio entrance for celeb sightings. The cast of Grey's Anatomy should be in front of Prospect Studios today, and Patricia Heaton is at Fox.

· In non-strike news, Jessica Alba may be the latest movie star headed to Broadway (no, they are not producing a theatrical version of Good Luck Chuck).

· Fabio claims he had no choice but to shake his mane angrily at George Clooney after the actor gave photo-happy guests at a charity function the finger.

· Recently split couple Michelle Williams and Heath Ledger are creating identical rooms in their homes for daughter Matilda.
