Actor Steve Guttenberg is keeping his Tuesday night Dancing With the Stars elimination in perspective.
"We were saying, 'We will still live, it's just a TV show,'" his dancing
partner, Anna Trebunskaya, told Usmagazine.com shortly after the two were sent home following a score of 21 for their tango.
"He said, 'It's OK, it's life,’" Trebunskaya added. "He was a bit sad because he said he wanted to learn a new dance like the samba or the waltz."
Trebunskaya said Guttenberg, 49, vows to keep on the dance floor and "will take lessons with me if he is in California."
The nine remaining dancers were also sad about Guttenberg's departure.
Steve was the brightest light here," actress Shannon Elizabeth told Us. "We are all going to miss him."
Added Marlee Matlin, "When he brought himself to a room, he would just light it up. He was so sweet."

umm excuse me but 2:53....Adam has the best radio program I have ever heard in my life and his fans are extremely devoted to him....THATS why he is still in this competition. He is more honest and funny than anyone in hollywood. Just because he marches to a different beat and isnt part of the hollywood "cutie" club doesnt make him a bad guy.

What bothers me about last night's episode is that the hosts didn't give him a chance to talk; they spend too much time on nonsense and some of the obnoxious people. I don't like Adam Corrola (sp?) at all; like Penn Jillette, he's a no-talent jerk who should've been voted off at the start. Adam should've been next, not this guy.

I agree, there needs to be more time allocated to the stars saying goodbye! It is crazy they are so rushed at the end. Cut back a bit on the talk behind the scenes in order to have more time.
As for Steve, it is depressing that one of the nicest men around was booted. He really brought a lot to the show. A very nice guy that gave the public a lot in return! We are better off having seen him on that show. Hopefully, they will bring him back during and after the season like they have done with other stars. Thanks Steve!

I'm very proud of him and his ability to show the energy and sincerity our town exudes compared to other Los Angeles wealthy towns. Pacific Palisades has celebrities like him such as Tom Hanks, who don't have gated homes and live life such as walking their dog and being interactive with the community. Am I the only one or does anyone else think they need to give the stars more time to say "Good Bye" these people give so much time and effort to practicing & the show. Not to mention the whole hour or hour and a half they make us tune in and only give the stars like 2 minutes to say something and have their final dance. I think they and WE deserve more time for the Good bye.
I thought it was rude they didn't let the Gutt finish what he wanted to say.

No I dont believe that Steve Gutt should have been voted off. It should be Adam Corrila, he cannot dance nor has a personality . I find his sense of humor offencive.

I would say Steve didn't deserve to go, even though I don't watch DWTS, just the commercials and news online on gossip websites, same goes for American Idol!

It's sad and I'm sorry to hear Steve Guttenberg was eliminated from DWTS, but at least he's being very positive about dancing and hopefully, him & his partner from DWTS, Anna Trebunskaya, will dance again in the future, in whatever endeavors they persue!?

Sorry, but I think Adam should have gone before Steve. It was a joy to see his enthusiasm and positive attitude, you could tell he was truly happy being there. Adam is also fun to watch but too stiff and sometimes his comments are a little to tacky.
I'll miss seing Steve on the show.

Although Steve is incredibly fun to have around, the show is about dancing and unfortunately he is not the best dancer there.....although his Mango was fantastic last night!
