As someone of diminutive height, I’m super into this new look of major volume at the crown. It just makes everyone look taller as well as on-trend and "done," even if they're just wearing a simple ponytail (like AnnaLynne McCord at a Starz after-party in Beverly Hills on Monday).
To get the look, you have to tease a bit by backcombing about a two-inch wide section of hair around your hairline, but if you sprinkle or spray in some dry shampoo before teasing, you’ll lift locks without any damage.
My fave dry shampoo is Rene Furterer’s Naturia. It’s tinted a tan shade to blend invisibly into all hair colors and smells fresh. Be on the lookout for a new dry shampoo soon to be out by Neil George -- the Tinseltown salon owned by stylist Neil Weisberg (who tends to the tresses of Abbie Cornish and Ryan Rhillippe) and colorist Amanda George (who puts the blonde on Reese Witherspoon and Renee Zellweger). When they gave me a sample, I tore through it in 3 days!
