When we first won the wedding, our planner (Amy Shey Jacobs; check out her blog) asked me to provide a list of dresses and dress designers that I liked. One designer that just about every bride dreams of is Vera Wang, but I didn't even list her because to me that was just way too much to ask. However, Us Weekly and WeddingChannel.com somehow arranged to make this dress dream come true. When Amy later called me to tell me that Vera Wang was so graciously providing me with my wedding gown, my jaw about hit the floor. My hands were shaking from pure excitement and disbelief!

I was sent up to New York to visit Vera Wang's flagship store, only to be greeted with the sweetest associates. They made my dress experience a truly magical one. I walked into the boutique and my eyes were in heaven, hopping from dress to dress-- every single dress was simply gorgeous. I got to try on some of the most beautiful wedding gowns I had ever seen! After trying on a couple of dresses, I was in the process of putting on the last one, and that was when it happened. I have never been one to believe in "the one" when it comes to the dress, but as soon as the dress was zipped, I felt the tears fill my eyes. (Cameras for Inside Edition were rolling away....) There was no question for me that this was "the one." I am completely in love with my dress and cannot wait for Eric to see me in it!

The French tulle and organza lace gown I chose retails for $3,900. Vera has also designed gowns for Ashlee Simpson, Mariah Carey and Uma Thurman.
