Lindsay Lohan Gets New Job as Fashion Adviser

Lindsay Lohan has a new job: artistic adviser of the much-lauded fashion line Emanuel Ungaro.
The leggings designer, 23, has been tapped to join the French designer's team, Women's Wear Daily reported Wednesday.

She will be paired up with the label's newly appointed chief designer Estrella Archs, and the two are slated to present their first collection in Paris on Oct. 4. (They will likely come out together at the end of the runway show for a bow.)
Why Lohan?
Ungaro is working toward a new consumer-led business model, and CEO Mounir Moufarrige said Lohan will help revitalize the aging label.

"Twenty-first century muses are extroverts whose personal style and experience gives them a strong creative and artistic focus. Thus was our vision of combining the eye of a fashion creator with the eye of the ultimate luxury consumer, a celebrity," Moufarrige said in a statement. "Mr. Ungaro's success was based on his genius for design and his controversial eye to whom his consumer was. Lindsay is a world consumer with a clear eye for fashion."
Lohan also told WWD that she plans to take Ungaro to a "younger place" with an edge.

"When I'm involved in a project, I give my all to it," she said. "I feel like there's a correlation between everything I do, whether it's pop music or film. I've always played a big part in what I wear, the costumes. Clothing is something that's so expressive in so many ways. It really interests me.
Lohan added that, in her new role, she "kind of oversees everything [Archs] does, while working with her. Different generations have different ideas."
