Details such as flowers and linens have always been my favorite part of weddings.
When we arrived at the studio of Janet Flowers (she decorated one of President Barack Obama's inaugural balls!), there were flower arrangements that took my breath away and I couldn't believe it when I found out that these were arrangements -- some of which were 4 feet tall! -- that Janet designed for our wedding.
I had sent her several photos of centerpieces that I loved and told her that our color scheme consisted of warm fall colors including red, orange, and gold. She put together these big centerpieces that were lush with flowers and greenery, including tangerine orchids, curly willow branches and cherry love roses. They were simply gorgeous. She also designed a bridal bouquet for me and as soon as she handed it to me, I never wanted to put it down! It was beautiful!
She also set up a more contemporary set of flowers for her vision as to how our cocktail room should look like. We absolutely fell in love with it! (The whole look costs $28,000.) She also laid out several linens on round tables and paired them with a variety of chairs. I always liked chiavari chairs, but would never expect to have them at our reception because they typically cost so much money. But she showed us so many other chair options that I never even knew existed!
I am really excited to see how the reception venue will look once its all put together. I am totally blown away by the ideas Janet has thought up for us and I cannot wait to share it with our family and friends! Get inspired with gorgeous flower photos on WeddingChannel.com.
