I met with Ricardo Rojas -- hairstylist for stars like Mariah Carey, Paris Hilton, Heidi Klum, to name a few! -- at his salon in New York City.

Needless to say, the man knows a thing or two about beauty! He was friendly and down-to-earth, and told me his life story and I quickly became very comfortable with him. After he finished curling my hair for phase one of the updo, he treated me to an oxygen facial, which Madonna is known for getting. It made subtle yet incredible changes to my skin!

After the facial, I was graced with the presence of the lovely Eve Pearl. She has created looks for Brooke Shields and Justin Timberlake. (She certainly brought sexy back to me! haha) I told her I was going for the glam look of the '40s and she gave me beautiful smoky eye make up and several tips on how to wear bright red lipstick.

Once Eve was done with my makeup, Ricardo took over for phase 2 of my hair and pinned it in a gorgeous low, full chignon. I couldn't stop looking at myself for the rest of the day. I never imagined that I could look and feel so good! I couldn't believe it was me! Eve and Ricardo are true artists!

The funniest part of the shoot: the cute clothes Us Weekly called in for me ended up not quite fitting, so the PR manager at WeddingChannel.com had to rush out to grab a quick replacement! I ended up in a gorgeous purple dress from a boutique called Plum Style.
