Presenting today’s Girl crush! Alexis Bledel — aka Rory Gilmore — hit the stage at the Berlin fan event for Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life on Thursday, November 10, in the most perfect shimmering piece for the holidays.
The style in question? Dion Lee’s Crystal Pleat Skirt in Pewter from the label’s Fall 2016 lineup. The stunner features glitter-bombed pleats with black folds, creating instant dimension — and a seamless complement to the Mad Men alum’s black cold-shoulder top. Bledel, 35, finished the ensemble with a square clutch and pointed-toe Schutz pumps.
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants actress — who married her Mad Men costar Vincent Kartheiser in 2014, and gave birth to their first child in May — was joined at the event by her onscreen mom, Lauren Graham. The woman best known to the world as Lorelei Gilmore modeled a cleavage-flaunting LBD, cinched at the waist with a wide belt, and metallic heels.
With Gilmore Girls‘ Netflix debut just two weeks away (copper boom!), Bledel recently dished on how Rory and Lorelei’s relationship has evolved in the almost 10 years since we’ve seen them. “[Rory] is out living her own life and taking care of herself and trying to survive her day-to-day, which is not easy, being a journalist in this day and age,” the Sin City actress told Collider. “She’s not that far along in her career, but she’s been doing it for a little while. That’s really been her main focus. It’s had to be, for her to survive her own life. So coming back to see her mom is stepping back into that dynamic that has now matured into something else.”
Bledel spilled a little spoiler too, on working with her former onscreen love Jared Padalecki (aka Dean). “It was great working with him again,” she said. “He’s always so affable and friendly, and he’s got this great energy. Our scene was so fun to film. It was great to work with him again.” That’s when she realized she confessed they only share one scene, squashing “Dory” shippers’ hopes: “I guess I just said that, so, oops!”
