A cut above! Ariel Winter didn’t just turn heads in her beaded black Uel Camilo gown with sexy side cutouts at the Critics’ Choice Awards 2016. She also debuted freshly cut bangs at the Sunday, December 11, ceremony.
The Modern Family actress, 18, who chopped her black hair into a chin-length bob in November, showed off her fringe on the blue carpet at Santa Monica Airport’s Barker Hangar in California. Celebrity hairstylist Jonathan Colombini of the Jonathan & George Salon in Beverly Hills assembled the star’s locks into a topknot using Oribe hair products, as tagged in an Instagram post of his from that night. But there’s a distinct possibility that Winter could be tricking Us with her bangs — he also tagged the Hair Shop, a renowned hair extension boutique.
Winter has explained her love of trying new things with her tresses before. “I change my hair color all the time,” she once told Teen Vogue. “I think it’s fun! It makes me feel like a new person every time, and I’m like, hey what’s up! I’ve wanted to dye my hair blue or pink or something, but it’s so hard to do that without breaking off your entire head of hair. I’m working on it! I’m so bad with the whole I’m-going-to-break-four-eggs on my hair and leave them there treatment thing. I’ve never done any of that stuff.”
Perhaps the Safelight star took a page from Katie Holmes’ book. The All We Had actress and director, 37, stunned with her new brunette bangs on December 6 — and then went on to reveal that they were clip-ins a few days later. She told Yahoo! Beauty that she’d keep them in “until I don’t have someone to clip it in anymore!”
