Metamorphosis! Fresh off her breakup from girlfriend St. Vincent, Cara Delevingne unveiled a meaningful new tattoo at the launch of Rimmel’s Scandaleyes Reloaded Mascara in London on Wednesday, November 9.

The model-turned-actress and Rimmel brand ambassador, 24, showed off ink of a diamondback rattlesnake wrapped around her left hand. (Tattoo artist Dr. Woo teased with a close-up of his handiwork via Instagram the day before.) The delicate black drawing appears to start at the edge of her palm and slithers up to her middle finger.

While the Suicide Squad actress boasts more than 20 works of body art — including a lion on her knuckle, a diamond inside her ear and the outline of a heart on her hand — this one seems particularly special to her. “At the end of it, it says ‘feral,’ because I think I am, and it’s about reinvention, shedding of old skin, new beginnings, new life,” Delevingne told a camera crew inside the event (via The Sun).

A new life for the model — and, it seems, for her former flame, too. After dating Delevingne for a year and a half and splitting earlier this year, St. Vincent, whose real name is Annie Clark, has been linked to Kristen Stewart. The couple were snapped shopping for dog food on October 24, then attended the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Fashion Show and Tea together two days later.
