Express yourself! Sofia Richie debuted two new tattoos, including one that matches Justin Bieber’s, on Thursday, September 8, documenting the entire process in a Snapchat story.
The model, 18, who’s dating the Purpose singer, 22, visited noted artist JonBoy in New York City. Before he began, the daughter of Lionel Richie expressed her doubts. “I’m scared!” she said as she smiled nervously at the camera. But her fears subsided as the pro, who’s worked with Kendall Jenner and Hailey Baldwin, whirred away with his needle.
After a short time, Richie, who walked in the Yeezy Season 4 show on September 7, displayed the first tattoo: a small black cross on the inside of her left middle finger. “Wanted this cross forever!!” she captioned a September 8 Instagram.
Though the ink’s been on her wish list for awhile, Richie may have been inspired by her new love. Bieber has a similar cross in a slightly more unconventional place. “Justin came in last night and decided on a small cross near the corner of his eye,” JonBoy told Us Weekly on May 7. “It represents his journey in finding purpose with God.”
Her second tat, which JonBoy posted in a September 8 Instagram, is a small “13:4” on the back of her neck. “#love,” he hashtagged. The 13:4 is a reference to a Bible verse in the chapter of 1 Corinthians: “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.”
Richie, who’s been involved with Bieber since August, shed light on their relationship in a recent Billboard interview. “We have a special relationship,” she said. “Justin is very easy to talk to, and that's hard to find with people in Los Angeles."
