As we head towards Oscars 2017 weekend, Stylish remembers Best Actress in a Leading Role nominee Natalie Portman’s top hair and makeup looks
Beauty of the Day: 5 Secrets of Natalie Portman’s Style
#Winning! Natalie Portman won the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role (for Black Swan in 2011) and she’ll have another shot at an Oscar on Sunday for her work in Jackie. In the biopic, Portman takes a stunning turn as sophisticate with grit Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis during the days surrounding her husband President John F. Kennedy’s assassination. Portman, 35, similarly displays solid yet classic beauty on the red carpet. Take, for instance, her look at the 2017 SAG Awards. Makeup pro Pati Dubroff applied makeup with the new silicone applicator the MakeupDrop, seamlessly buffing in two shades of foundation, blush and eye shadows to impart a glowing-from-within luminosity.
At the 2017 Golden Globe Awards (she was nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Drama, for Jackie) Portman (pregnant with her second child with husband Benjamin Millepied) channeled Jackie Kennedy Onassis in all her ’60s glory, with a teased half updo and vibrant retro candy-pink lips.
When the Jane Got a Gun actress took home the statue for Best Actress at the 2016 Critics’ Choice Awards for Jackie, she was clad in a flowy embellished capelet dress by Alexander McQueen paired with a pair of strappy, $90 Steve Madden sandals, proving that high-low goes in Hollywood! Old Hollywood–inspired waves and matte burgundy lipstick completed the look.
