Minka Kelly isn't bitter that John Mayer has moved on from her with Jennifer Aniston.

"I wish them the best," the Friday Night Lights star told Usmagazine.com at NBC's upfront presentation in New York City on Monday.

The actress, 27, and the singer, 30, debuted as a couple in October 2007, but called it off in January.

"John initiated the split," a friend of the couple told Us at the time. "He just wasn't ready to commit to Minka or to anyone."

Mayer and Aniston have been hot and heavy in Miami and New York City over the past few weeks.

Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer have moved their hot romance from Miami to New York City.

The new couple met up with four pals for a dinner date at Manhattan hot spot Waverly Inn on Wednesday.

The actress, 39, let her beau, 30, do most of the talking.

"Jennifer was just smiling and looking on, clearly in love with him and acting like he was the smartest guy on earth," a fellow diner told Usmagazine.com.

(Mayer fawned on his sweetie by walking her dog, Norman, on Tuesday.)

Mayer and Aniston — both dressed casually — shared a plate of the restaurant's famous $55 truffle macaroni and cheese. They also nibbled on fish (for Mayer) and a salad (for Aniston).

"She rubbed his back several times and they had their hands touching under the table," the fellow diner told Us. "It was really cute!"

After their over two-hour meal, the pair left the restaurant at 10:45 p.m. — but split up and went out separate entrances to throw off the waiting photographers.

The new issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands Friday, reports that Jessica Simpson got good and drunk as John Mayer, the guy who broke her heart, went public with his new relationship with Jennifer Aniston last week.

The 27-year-old singer was so out of it after a four-hour session of drinking at L.A.'s Mexicali Cocina Cantina on May 10 – which started at the pre-happy hour of 4 p.m. with BFF CaCee Cobb and her beau Donald Faison – that she was reduced to leaving her Range Rover in the parking lot and calling her mom Tina for a ride home, Us reports (for good measure, CaCee Cobb threw up under the table); that same night, Us Weekly also reports that beau Tony Romo partied solo in Chicago and was overheard telling friends he was single again.

Across the country, Mayer and Aniston went public with their relationship – holding hands and kissing affectionately at the Marley & Me cast party in Miami.

John Mayer spent some quality time with the other man in Jennifer Aniston's life: her beloved pooch, Norman!

Mayer took Aniston's Welsh Corgi-terrier mix for a walk before boarding a private jet with his sweetie in Miami on Tuesday.

Norman has been a constant companion to Aniston: The pup is spotted on many of the actress' film sets and the pair even posed together for Elle magazine in 2005. See other stars with dogs here.

Aniston, 39, also has a white German shepherd named Dolly.

Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer got hot and heavy in Miami this weekend — for the second time within a month!

On Saturday, the pair hit up the pool of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel (where they spent five days together in April).

After ordering drinks — champagne with a raspberry for her, a margarita for him — they took care to rub sunscreen on each other before jumping in the pool!

"It seems like they're both really into each other!" an eyewitness told Usmagazine.com.

The "very happy and relaxed" couple alternated between gazing into the ocean, playfully teasing each other in the water and talking intently.

Later that night, Mayer served as Aniston's date for the Marley & Me wrap party at Nikki Beach Coconut Grove.

The pair spent the night cuddling and laughing with other guests — and were one of the last to leave at 1:50 a.m.

Late last month, Mayer flew to Miami to spend time with the 39-year-old actress. During their time together, he had fresh flowers delivered nearly every day to their shared hotel room.

"She just always seemed like a lot of fun to him," a Mayer insider told Us Weekly.

In a Funny or Die spoof video (Will Ferrell co-owns the site!), Mayer chats on two cell phones simultaneously while riding a Razor scooter around his office and consulting with songwriters, musicians and even an assistant wearing a "My Body is a Wonderland" T-shirt.

"If I can't get the girl, why don't I just tell her I'm John Mayer?" he asks songwriters suggesting he sing about love lost. "How about [we write] something everyone can relate to, like when you're f--king one supermodel and you make the other one jealous?"

(In reality, Mayer recently spent five sexy days with Jennifer Aniston in Miami.)

Even Kristen Bell makes a cameo in the clip — to tell Mayer how much his music sucks.

Us cad John Mayer's T-shirt did all the talking during a recent Big Apple outing.

While greeting fans outside NYC hot spot Bungalow 8 on Monday, the singer, 30, wore a shirt emblazoned with the phrase "Mr. Douchebag." He crossed it out, so it read "Mr. Badass."

Earlier that day, he attended the Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where he spoke out for the first time about his romance with Jennifer Aniston.

"Listen, this is not a scandal, this is not an issue, this is not a problem, this needs no spin control," he said. "There are much worse problems in the world. Everything's cool!"
