Casey Aldridge "proposed a few days ago," Aldridge’s kin, Tina Robinson, tells Us

Pregnant 16-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears and boyfriend Casey Aldridge are engaged, his cousin, Tina Robinson, confirms to Usmagazine.com.

"He proposed a few days ago, and she accepted," Robinson tells Us.

Robinson says she hasn’t seen a ring and didn’t know whether they would wed before or after Jamie Lynn delivers.

“They probably weren’t expecting [the proposal] to be, like, right now, but with her being pregnant, that really pushed it up,” Robinson tells Us.

Spears and Aldridge, 18, announced they were expecting their first child together in December.

Around the time of their big news, Aldridge's uncle, Odus Jackson, 71, told Us he was "hopeful" for a future wedding.

"It would be something that we could all look forward to in time and that it would not be a forced thing even if it happened," he said.

Spears, star of the Nickelodeon hit Zoey 101, recently got her GED.

She and Aldridge have been spotted around her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana.

After disagreeing over how to tie the knot, The Hills' Heidi Montag arrived at L.A.'s Area club without fiance Spencer Pratt.

On Monday's finale of The Hills it was announced the show to the air this spring with eight "bonus" episodes.

Brody Jenner isn't saving their wedding date in his calendar. In an interview on Monday's Yo on E! show on Sirius and XM satellite radio, he said, "If they're already fighting, and they're not even married yet, I don't think it will work out."

The chemistry between Jennifer Love Hewitt and her fiancé Ross McCall wasn't the only thing turning heads December 2 as they made their way arm-in-arm through Maui International Airport: The actress, 28, showed off her engagement ring for the first time!

The Ghost Whisperer star has been engaged to McCall, 32, a Scottish actor, for two weeks, as Usmagazine.com reported exclusively.

The engagement ring has been in McCall's family for over a century, Us reports.

When the good news broke, the couple had been vacationing in Hawaii, where photographs of Hewitt in a bikini caused her to blog in defense of her body: "A size 2 is not fat! Nor will it ever be. And being a size 0 doesn't make you beautiful."

There is no word on their wedding date.

Contrary to reports that Tyra Banks and her boyfriend, New York investment banker John Utendahl, got engaged over the weekend, Banks’ rep exclusively tells Usmagazine.com, “It's not true. Tyra is not engaged.”

Banks, 33, and Utendahl have been dating since July. She recently relocated filming for both her talk show and America’s Top Model to New York.

Laura Linney and longtime boyfriend Marc Schauer are engaged, the actress' rep confirms to Usmagazine.com.

Reportedly, Schauer proposed to Linney, 43, last week.

This will be the second trip down the aisle for Oscar-nominated actress Linney, who divorced David Adkins in 2000, after five years of marriage.

In addition to wedding plans, Linney has a busy time ahead with roles in both the Scarlett Johansson-starrer The Nanny Diaries and Sundance-screened The Savages, which are due out before the year's end.

The couple hasn’t confirmed it, and a ring has not yet been spotted on her finger, but Usmagazine.com has learned that five-months-pregnant Nicole Richie and rocker Joel Madden may be engaged.

News of the possible engagement was announced Friday night by a local radio DJ who came on stage after an acoustic concert by Madden and his brother Benji at the Clarendon Ballroom in Arlington, Virginia. A source at the show, sponsored by NationalJeanCompany.com, tells Us that the DJ “thanked the Madden brothers for performing and announced to the crowd to give a warm congratulations on [Thursday night’s] engagement of Joel and Nicole.”

Adds the source: “Joel did not say anything about the engagement other than to wave to the crowd and acknowledge the roar when the radio personality made the announcement. He then walked off stage.” A rep for Richie couldn’t be reached for comment.

If the way the secretive couple treated their long-speculated-upon pregnancy news is any indication, Madden and Richie just might keep us guessing about their engagement until their wedding day.

Contrary to online reports, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are not engaged. Simpson's rep tells Usmagazine.com that the rumors of their impending nuptials are "absolutely not true."

Gossip website Popcrunch claims that Wentz, 28, proposed to Simpson, 22, on July 7 before Fall Out Boy's performance at Live Earth. Further, they speculate that the engagement stems from news that Simpson is pregnant.

The site's sources allege that the rumored engagement has been kept a secret because Simpson fears the overexposure that plagued Nick Lachey and older sister Jessica's marriage.

While we commend Simpson's alleged thinking should Wentz ever actually pop the question, the simple reason for this "engagement's" secrecy is its nonexistence.

Usmagazine.com has learned exclusively that Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag are engaged!

Pratt, 23, popped the question to Montag, 20, Tuesday night at the Bacara Resort & Spa in Santa Barbara, says a source who adds: "She said 'yes.' She's over the moon!"

The Hills stars, whose controversial courtship was chronicled last season on the hit MTV reality series, have been dating for just eight months.

Pratt purchased the diamond-encrusted platinum band with a pink stone on Monday at Ice at Brentwood Gardens before presenting Montag with his bended-knee proposal, according to a source. An eyewitness at the store tells Us, "She was trying on tons of them and they looked really happy!"

Montag was formerly a close friend and roommate of her Hills co-star Lauren Conrad, 21, until Pratt earlier this year urged Montag to move out of Conrad's apartment and in with him. The couple has not yet set a wedding date.

A rep for MTV told Us: "We do not comment on our stars' personal lives."

Grey's Anatomy star Kate Walsh exclusively tells Usmagazine.com that she and her 35-year-old Fox production executive boyfriend, Alex Young, are engaged.

Walsh, 39, revealed the surprising news to Us during the ABC upfront presentation at New York's Lincoln Center on Tuesday. "It happened a few days ago. And that’s all I can say," she beamed, flashing Us her Neil Lane engagement ring. "I’m on cloud nine.”

The news didn't exactly come as a shock to at least one of her castmates.

"I'm upset because she didn't consult me first!" Walsh's new costar, Tim Daly, tells Us jokingly.

The couple were first spotted getting cozy on April 22 at Mustard Seed Restaurant in Hollywood. “They were holding hands, nuzzling each others necks, kissing, and were really into each other," a source tells Us.

Walsh and Young then went public with their whirlwind romance at a Barack Obama fundraiser in Los Angeles.

An engagement isn't the only thing that the actress has to smile about these days. ABC announced late last week that Walsh's new show, Private Practice (the Grey's Anatomy spin-off starring Walsh's character, Addison Montgomery Shepherd), had been picked up for a full season and will premiere this fall on Wednesday nights at 9 p.m.

Aaron Carter, the younger brother of Backstreet Boy Nick Carter, proposed to his girlfriend Kari Ann Peniche on stage last night in Las Vegas, a source tells Us. Carter initially planned to go directly to a local chapel but decided a proper wedding needed some planning. The couple reportedly plans to wed in the next six months.

Peniche, 22, was named Miss United States Teen in 2003 but had her title revoked after she posed for Playboy. According to her MySpace profile, updated yesterday, she is currently single and does not want kids. She might want to update that.

Carter, 18, is the youngest solo male singer to have four Top 40 singles. "House of Carters," a reality show about his life with brother Nick and their three sisters, premieres next month on E!.

The engaged pair stayed at the Palms Casino Resort. It will be the first marriage for both. Carter's rep could not be reached for comment.
