Comedian Jimmy Fallon was born in 1974 in Brooklyn, N.Y. Famous for making America laugh on Saturday Night Live as the co-anchor of Weekend Update beside Tina Fey, he left the humorous cast in 2004 to pursue a film career, and has had roles in Almost Famous, Band of Brothers, and Taxi, among others. Fallon married Nancy Juvonen, Drew Barrymore's producing partner, in 2007.

Conan O'Brien will start June 1, 2009

Jay Leno's last Tonight Show will be Friday, May 29, 2009, NBC announced Monday.

Late Night host Conan O'Brien will take over the 11:35 p.m. time-slot on Monday, June 1.

Comedian Jimmy Fallon will succeed O'Brien, 45, on Late Night in March or April of 2009 after a stint of web-only editions.

"I hope to make it the best show and a great show for everyone to choose me to fall asleep during," Fallon, 33, said in May.

There has been much speculation that Leno, 58, will jump to another network when his NBC gig ends next summer.

The Saturday Night Live alum will take over hosting next summer

Jimmy Fallon has been named the new host of NBC's Late Night, the network announced Monday.

Fallon will likely debut as host in June 2009, when current host Conan O'Brien is scheduled to replace Jay Leno on The Tonight Show.

"I hope to make it the best show and a great show for everyone to choose me to fall asleep during," Fallon said at a press conference in NYC.

The actor and Saturday Night Live alum was chosen by Lorne Michaels, who executive produces SNL.

When Fallon, 33, inherits Late Night, he'll be four years older than O'Brien was when he took over from David Letterman in 1993.

Former Saturday Night Live star weds Nancy Juvonen

Jimmy Fallon, comedian and former cast-member of Saturday Night Live, married film producer Nancy Juvonen in the Caribbean on Dec. 22, according to a publicist cited by the Associated Press.

The wedding took place on Necker Island, which is owned by Richard Branson. It is the first marriage for Fallon, 33, and Juvonen, 40.

Juvonen co-owns Flower Films with Drew Barrymore. The three worked together on the 2005 film Fever Pitch.

NYC & Company, the official marketing and tourism organization for New York, and Mayor Bloomberg have enlisted some of the city's most famous residents to participate in a tourist appreciation campaign, "Just Ask the Locals." Stars from Robert De Niro to Julianne Moore and Jimmy Fallon are featured in the campaign, along with tidbits of personal advice.

Smart mom and actress Julianne Moore warns tourists, "Even if your kids say they want to walk, bring the stroller," while funnyman Fallon gives the address of a local bar, Pete's Tavern, adding "tell them Jimmy sent you."

For authenticity, all the celebs were photographed at their favorite local spots. Moore even brought her children to her shoot at restaurant Piccolo Angolo. We hope she took her own advice and had some wheels handy!
