Reports that the High School Musical has been diagnosed with HIV are "completely untrue," her rep tells Us

High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale's rep, Scott Appel, slammed online reports that she has been diagnosed as HIV positive. "The story is completely untrue," Appel tells Us.

Internet rumors swirled Thursday after a web site posted a false report that Tisdale had contracted the disease from her rhinoplasty procedure last year.

The fake report alleged that a spokesman for the hospital revealed in a statement, "'Ashley and her family are trying to come to terms with this horrible development. They only ask that you pray for Ashley’s health and to please respect their privacy as the family decides on the next course of action.'"

"We did not release any statement regarding Ashley Tisdale," Cedars-Sinai spokesperson Simi Singer tells Usmagazine.com.

Tisdale (who topped Us' Best Makeover List last year) plays spoiled rich girl Sharpay Evans in the hit Disney movie series High School Musical. She's currently in Salt Lake City, Utah filming HSM3.

Ashley Tisdale hints to Us that she may not star

A fourth installment of Disney's High School Musical is in the works.

"We are writing High School Musical 4," Disney Channel Worldwide President Rich Ross told the Hollywood Reporter Tuesday.

Vanessa Hudgens, Zac Efron, Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman are headed to Utah later this month to shoot High School Musical 3: Senior Year, the first in the series to hit the big screen in October.

Ross said "all the cast" may not return for the HSM4, but that some new characters may be introduced in HSM3.

While recently promoting her Degree Girl contest, Tisdale, 22, told Usmagazine.com that "we love HSM, but we kind of have to move on.

"It will always be a part of us that we loved to do" she added. "All of us have gone through so much together, like winning the Billboard award and an Emmy and an American Music Award! That’s something that we’ll always remember!"

Where does Tisdale (who topped Us' Best Makeover List last year) see her career going?

"I'd love to do more romantic comedies in the future," she told Us.

Her inspiration? "Kate Hudson — she's funny!"

New Jersey native Ashley Tisdale, born in 1985, spent her childhood starring in dozens of commercials after being discovered at age three in a shopping mall. Tisdale is now best known for her role as spoiled high school student Sharpay Evans in the High School Musical movies, a role she landed after playing Maddie Fitzpatrick on the Disney Channel’s The Suite Life of Zack & Cody for three years. The success of the HSM film franchise has kick started Tisdale’s career as a recording artist; her first album debuted at number five on the Billboard 200. Tisdale is ranked tenth on Maxim’s “Hot 100” list of 2008 and 94th on Forbes’s “Celebrity 100” list. Tisdale is currently dating backup dancer Jared Murillo.

Talented Tisdale is a Jersey girl, born and raised. Discovered when she was just three-years-old at a shopping mall, the young actress spent her childhood starring in around one hundred commercials. Tisdale is now best known for her roles on the Disney Channel, including her performance as Sharpay Evans - an arrogant teen who always gets her way - in the very successful High School Musical movies. She stars alongside Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens and Corbin Bleu, among others. In December of 2007, Tisdale made headlines when she appeared in public with a new nose. However, the young talent said she did not under go rhinoplasty surgery for aesthetic reasons—rather, the star claims it is because she had a deviated septum and was having trouble breathing.

Career

During the late 1990s, Tisdale had many guest appearances on several television shows. However, it wasn't until the Disney Channel made her part of their team that she became well known. In 2005, Tisdale was cast in the role of Maddie Fitzpatrick on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. As the show became popular and Tisdale's singing talent became apparent, she was offered to be a featured performer on the Disney Channel. Her well-received performances eventually led her to her most successful role yet: playing Sharpay Evans in High school Musical and High School Musical 2. This role was significant for Tisdale because it allowed her to get her amazing alto voice heard yet again. Three songs that she performed in character on High School Musical managed to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 and this sparked her career as a recording artist. In February 2007, Tisdale released her first solo album, Headstrong, which debuted at number five on the Billboard 200 and includes her hit single "He Said She Said." Up next: High School Musical 3!

The High School Musical star won't go under the knife again

Ashley Tisdale may have gotten a nose job for a deviated septum, but that is where she draws the line.

"Completely false," her rep says in the new issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands now, when asked if the High School Musical singer, 22, wants to get a boob job.

Star magazine recently reported that Tisdale had contemplated the procedure.
