Jamie Lynn Spears left the Mississippi Southwest Regional Medical Center in McComb, Mississippi Saturday two days after giving birth.

The 17-year-old was driven out of the hospital by 19-year-old fiance Casey Aldridge in a white Range Rover at 1:40 a.m. She was in the back seat surrounded by a white sheet. The couple received a police escort.

Maddie – born Thursday weighing 7 lbs., 11 ounces – is the first child for the Zoey 101 star and Aldridge, a pipe layer.

"I'm sure the baby's beautiful, and I'm so glad everybody's healthy and doing well," Jamie Lynn's cousin Alli Sims told Usmagazine.com Thursday.

Jamie Lynn's sister Britney, 26, returned to L.A. Friday after flying to Louisiana for the birth. Britney's arrival at LAX caused chaos among over 30 paparazzi.

Jamie Lynn Spears' cousin Alli Sims says the 17-year-old will make a great mom to daughter Maddie.

"I'm sure the baby's beautiful, and I'm so glad everybody's healthy and doing well," Sims told Usmagazine.com at an after-party for Wanted in Los Angeles on Thursday.

"I just wish them all the happiness in the world," she said. "I know they're going to have so much fun."

Sims — who said she is still "great friends" with Britney (who's recording a new album) — added that she plans on sending "something cute.

"I'm sure they're doing great," she told Us. "I know they're just so excited."

Maddie was born Thursday at Mississippi Southwest Regional Medical Center in McComb, Mississippi.

She weighed 7 lbs., 11 ounces.

Why Jamie Lynn Spears Named Her Daughter "Maddie Briann"

A baby name expert tells Us the choice is "surprising"

Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge's decision to name their newborn daughter Maddie Briann is "a surprising choice," baby name expert Pam Satran, coauthor of baby-naming guides Cool Names and The Baby Name Bible, tells Usmagazine.com.

"[Maddie is] cute but nearly old-fashioned at this point," Satran says. "The nickname Maddie has been popular in its own right since the 1980s, when it was the name used by the character played by Cybill Shepherd in Moonlighting."

The name is short for Madeline (the French variation of Magdalen, which is Greek for "high tower) or Madison (of English origin, meaning "son of the mighty warrior"), which was a top name several years ago, Satran explains.

"Both Jamie and Maddie are '80s-style nickname names," Satran adds. "Rather than mother and daughter, they sound like classmates – co-captains of the cheerleading squad!"

As for Maddie's middle name, Briann, Satran reveals its "a modern feminization of Brian, Irish for 'strong.'

Briann, Brian, Brianne and Brianna have been trending downward over the past several years, Satran points out.

Jamie Lynn gave birth to Maddie Thursday at Mississippi Southwest Regional Medical Center in McComb, Mississippi. Maddie – Jamie Lynn and Aldridge's first child – weighed 7 lbs., 11 ounces.

Jamie Lynn Spears has given birth, a source tells Usmagazine.com.

Daughter Maddie was born Thursday at Mississippi Southwest Regional Medical Center in McComb, Mississippi.

Maddie weighed 7 lbs., 11 ounces.

This is the first child for 17-year-old actress and her 19-year-old fiance Casey Aldridge, a pipe layer.

On Wednesday, sister Britney and dad Jamie flew from L.A. to their hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana as Jamie Lynn prepared to give birth.

The Zoey 101 star – who announced she was expecting at 16-years-old with Aldridge's baby in December (they sold the story for $1 million) – spent her pregnancy in Kentwood and McComb.

"She's now really excited, so I'm proud of her," pal Miley Cyrus has told Usmagazine.com.

Before her pregnancy, Jamie Lynn told Us of having kids, "Whatever happens, happens, I guess. You can't really say what is going to happen."

In May, Britney and mom Lynne attended her baby shower at the family's Serenity mansion in Kentwood.

Jamie Lynn and Aldridge got engaged in March and have delayed their wedding until after the birth of their child. At the time, Jamie Lynn wore a T-shirt emblazoned with the phrase "The Rumors Are True" while she flashed her engagement ring.

In April, the couple celebrated Jamie Lynn's 17th birthday together while her parents looked after Britney in L.A.

Jamie Lynn passed her GED in February. She has said it "would be fun" to attend Louisiana State University.

The engaged 17-year-old went for a drive in Kentwood Tuesday

Jamie Lynn Spears is keeping a low profile in her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana days after turning 17-years-old.

The star of Zoey 101, who is carrying her first child with fiance Casey Aldridge, wore a basic t-shirt, shorts and sneakers for a drive on Tuesday.

Spears and Aldridge, 19, spent her birthday on Friday at a local Wal-Mart and Ruby Tuesday restaurant.

At the same time, older sister Britney, brother Bryan and parents Lynne and Jamie dined out in Brentwood, CA.

Jamie Lynn Spears wore a loose-fitting hoodie, shorts and Ugg boots for a trip to Blalock’s Food Center in Mississippi Tuesday.

The pregnant Zoey 101 star, who is newly engaged to beau Casey Aldridge, turns 17 years old on April 4.

"He proposed... and she accepted," Aldridge's cousin, Tina Robinson, told Usmagazine.com.

Spears has been living in her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana. She got her GED in February.

Jamie Lynn Spears wants to get something off her chest.

The pregnant 16-year-old wore a T-shirt emblazoned with the phrase "The Rumors Are True" during a trip to Babies "R" Us in her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana, on March 27.

She also flashed an engagement ring.

The outing comes days after Casey Aldridge's cousin confirmed exclusively to Usmagazine.com that the two were getting hitched.

"He proposed ... and she accepted," Tina Robinson told Us.

She said didn’t know whether they would wed before or after Jamie Lynn delivers.

“They probably weren’t expecting [the proposal] to be, like, right now, but with her being pregnant, that really pushed it up,” Robinson told Us.

Casey Aldridge "proposed a few days ago," Aldridge’s kin, Tina Robinson, tells Us

Pregnant 16-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears and boyfriend Casey Aldridge are engaged, his cousin, Tina Robinson, confirms to Usmagazine.com.

"He proposed a few days ago, and she accepted," Robinson tells Us.

Robinson says she hasn’t seen a ring and didn’t know whether they would wed before or after Jamie Lynn delivers.

“They probably weren’t expecting [the proposal] to be, like, right now, but with her being pregnant, that really pushed it up,” Robinson tells Us.

Spears and Aldridge, 18, announced they were expecting their first child together in December.

Around the time of their big news, Aldridge's uncle, Odus Jackson, 71, told Us he was "hopeful" for a future wedding.

"It would be something that we could all look forward to in time and that it would not be a forced thing even if it happened," he said.

Spears, star of the Nickelodeon hit Zoey 101, recently got her GED.

She and Aldridge have been spotted around her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana.

Spears' rep blasts a current cover story about Zoey 101 star being "dumped"

Jamie Lynn Spears' rep has blasted In Touch Weekly for their current cover story, calling their reporting "completely false."

The tabloid reported the pregnant teen was "dumped" by boyfriend Casey Aldridge and that he had demanded a paternity test.

"The In Touch story is completely false. They did not fact check," Spears' rep tells Usmagazine.com.

"They are still together and he has not asked for a paternity test," a source close to the 16-year-old actress told Us yesterday.

Last week, Spears' Nickelodeon show, Zoey 101, got a ratings boost from the surprise news of her pregnancy. Spears, 16, was recently seen studying for her GED.

An In Touch cover stating the pregnant teen was dumped is "completely false"

Parents-to-be Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge have not split up, as a tabloid reported this week.

"It's completely false," a source close to the 16-year-old actress tells Usmagazine.com. "They are still together and he has not asked for a paternity test."

The cover story of In Touch Weekly claims Spears was "dumped" and Aldridge is "convinced Jamie Lynn is lying" about the paternity.

Spears' Nickelodeon show, Zoey 101, received a ratings bump from the news of her pregnancy. The teen was recently seen studying for her GED.
