Blasting online reports, she says she is "fully committed" to the Disney show

Hannah Montana fans, rejoice: Miley Cyrus isn't leaving the hit Disney show.

Erroneous reports surfaced online this weekend that the teen queen has been trying to get fired from the show by showing up late and saying she'll only do 12 of the 24-episode season.

But in a statement to Usmagazine.com, she says: "I am fully committed to Hannah Montana. It's what gave me this amazing opportunity to reach out to so many people."

She adds, "I'm really excited about our new season. We are making great new episodes that I can't wait for our fans to see and I'm looking forward to the Hannah Montana movie that will be out in the spring." (The movie is now due out almost a full month sooner -- on April 10.)

But Cyrus does want to branch her career out: She has signed on to star in an untitled film by Notebook author Nicholas Sparks, Variety reports.

The role is being written especially for her.

Sparks told Variety that the Cyrus clan was "very familiar with the work I've done in the past. That played a role in this project coming together."

The teen — who has the No. 1 album this week — says she wants to study fashion in London

She may only be 15, but Miley Cyrus already is thinking about higher education.

"I was online the other day looking at colleges," Cyrus (who studies with a tutor) tells E! News. "I want to go in London. I'd like to do fashion and then photography."

In the meantime, the singer — who celebrates her birthday in November — is plotting out her Sweet 16.

"I'm into having just a good ol' pool party or, like, [going to] the beach with a couple of friends," she says. "I don’t want to feel like I have to entertain the whole time."

The singer doesn't have to wait until November to celebrate: She just scored her second No. 1 album in a little over a year.

Breakout sold 371,000 copies in the week ending July 27, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

It is the second-biggest sales week of the year for a female artist, following the 463,000 debut of Mariah Carey's E=MC2 in April.

Her last album, the Hannah Montana 2/Meet Miley Cyrus, debuted at No. 1 last July with 326,000.

Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus is single – but she says she's "lookin'" for a boyfriend.

"It is hard when you are hanging out with guys, even guys that are just your friends," the 15-year-old singer-actress, who's been linked to Nick Jonas and co-star Lucas Till, said on Today Thursday.

"[He's] automatically your boyfriend, because that's what the media thinks," she explained. "I think it's good if you can be able to have guy and girl friends that, you know, understand you... and it stinks when we go out; people automatically think we're together."

(Meanwhile, Jonas has been linked to fellow Disney star Selena Gomez.)

Another problem area for the Us Power Girl: being grounded by her parents for fighting with her 14-year-old brother.

"I kinda like it sometimes," she admitted. "I'm like, 'Oh, it's kinda nice just to be home,' you know. And it'll kinda stop me for a little while from wanting to work and wanting to do this and that.

"The worst is cell phones getting taken away," she added. "It's the worst!"

Everything could change on November 23 – when Cyrus turns 16 and qualifies for a driver's license.

"I'll take anything that'll drive," Cyrus said of her car preference. "Seriously, right now I just want anything that'll get me around and hopefully it's something somewhat OK."

Cyrus is performing live on Today for a half-hour on Friday. The next Hannah Montana film hits screens next year.

Selena Gomez — the next Miley Cyrus?

Miley doesn't think so.

Following her controversial Vanity Fair cover, some pegged Disney singers Selena Gomez or Demi Lovato as two wholesome girls who could fill the teen queen's shoes.

But the 15-year-old Hannah Montana star tells Extra, "I don’t think there could be a next Miley. I think they should be the next Selena, the next Demi ... [and] make their own way.”

She says she takes it as a compliment that "people are looking up to what I do."

Still, she says she'll always have to deal with media attention.

"Instead of putting negativity to it," Cyrus says, "I'm taking the opportunity to make it a positive thing.”

Being in the public eye "gives me an opportunity to voice those decisions, those things I go through a little more publicly, and hopefully they help people out in their lives," she says.

Cyrus says she is already gearing up to host the Teen Choice Awards in August. (Click here to see the famous female who wants to kiss Miley at the show.)

“I’ve already got my outfits," Cyrus says. " I want to be very different. Sequins are definitely very fun for me, but I’m getting kind of over doing the 'sequins thing.' Hopefully, I can break some new fashions.”

Expect to see even more of Miley Cyrus in her Disney character (and alter ego) Hannah Montana.

She heads to Nashville on April 12 to begin filming the flick, which hits screens in 2009.

"It's going to be really cool, really funny," Cyrus tells MTV. "It's showing more of the Miley side of life, more of the normal girl kind of figuring herself out type thing."

Cyrus, Us' Power Girl, won two Kids' Choice Awards on Saturday and had a No. 1 movie in February with Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour.

Miley Cyrus has a hit show, Hannah Montana, on the Disney Channel — and now she’s branched out to YouTube!

The 15-year-old released a silly video called The Miley & Mandy Show with pal Mandy Jiroux, a dancer on her Best of Both Worlds Tour, on YouTube Sunday.

In the nearly five-minute clip, the girls — in sweatpants and T-shirts — make funny faces into the camera, dance to Janet Jackson’s “Feedback,” do headstands and even point to a boy in a magazine can ask, “Can you say irresistible?”

At the end of the clip, credits flash thanking the Jonas Brothers (Cyrus was linked to Nick Jonas at one point, but told Us she was single) for using their song.

This won’t be the only performance Cyrus is involved in: She’ll also host the live CMT Awards with dad Billy Ray on April 14.

“Miley and I are so excited,” Billy Ray, 46, said in a statement released Tuesday. “We know it will be a fun-filled night with a lot of great music performances.”

Cyrus, 15 — who recently adopted Ray as her middle name in honor of her father — will also perform a song with her pop.

Us Power Girl Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Toby Keith will also perform on the show, which airs live April 14 on CMT from Belmont University’s Curb Event Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Cyrus was a presenter at Sunday’s Academy Awards. She brought her mother, Tish, as her date.

Teen queen Miley Cyrus says Britney Spears needs help.

"I think it's so crazy and I think that she [Britney] needs help,” she told Extra. “If I didn't have [my family], I'd probably be in the same position.

"You just got to know who your true friends are, and I think for me, is my mom," she added. "If you have sisters, I mean any girls that are in your family, that can understand and relate to you, I think is the best.”

(An Associated Press editor told Us Thursday they had begun preparing Spears' obituary within the past month.)

The Hannah Montana singer, 15, also showed off raven-hued hair at the Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best Of Both Worlds Concert 3D event in Hollywood last night.

"I was just trying to get more into my rock and roll vibe," she told Usmagazine.com of her look. "I like rock and roll music, I like rock and roll artists, so I was like, 'That’s what I want to do!'"

How far would you go for your child to see Hannah Montana in concert?

A Texas mother admits she helped her daughter win tickets in a contest by writing an essay falsely claiming the girl's father had died in a roadside bombing in Iraq.

Priscilla Ceballos apologized Friday by reading a statement on NBC's Today Show.

She said she just got caught up in trying to help her daughter "realize her dream of seeing Hannah Montana.

"Instead I brought so much negative attention to my family," she said. "Please accept my heartfelt apology and please do not punish my child for my mistake."

Ceballos also apologized to the military and military families.

"I just wanted to help my daughter write a compelling story," she said. "There is no more compelling story than the struggle and sacrifices of our military and their families."

The essay — which featured the opening line, "My daddy died this year in Iraq" — won the grand prize in a contest, sponsored by Chicago-based chain Club Libby Lu.

The prize included airfare for four to Albany, New York, and four tickets to a sold-out Hannah Montana concert there, as well as a makeover that included a blonde Hannah Montana wig.

After Ceballos admitted to store officials that the essay information was untrue, the prize was awarded to another unnamed contestant.

Hannah Montana stars Miley Cyrus was honored at Us' Hot Hollywood bash last September.
