George Clooney's Ex: Single Life "Working for Me Right Now"

"I'm focusing a lot on work, and it's been going very well," Sarah Larson says

George Clooney's ex-girlfriend Sarah Larson has moved on.

Single life is "working for me right now," she told Usmagazine.com before hosting Tao Nightclub at the Venetian Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas Friday.

"It's going well," the 29-year-old model added. "I'm focusing a lot on work, and it's been going very well."

Clooney, 47, and Larson (a former Fear Factor contestant) split at the end of May after a year together.

Larson denied a fling with actor Jason Statham.

"I actually didn't even know that he was going to be sitting at the table with us," she said. "Just a kind of random large group of people. We just sat down and talked for a little bit. Nothing beyond that."

Larson also told Us that she just wrapped a shoot for L.A.-based magazine L.A. Direct.

"I don't regret spending time with him," she says in her first post-split interview

Sarah Larson says her recent split with George Clooney was anything but bitter.

"George is a great guy, a wonderful person. I don't regret spending time with him, and he's a great person to get to know," Larson, 29, tells Hello! Magazine.

Excerpts from the interview ran in the London Telegraph.

"We still remain friends and have kept in touch," she insists. "In fact, we spoke over the phone a couple of days ago. He's fun to be around, down to earth, laid back, funny and smart."

Her fondest memory?

"Most people know George has a great sense of humor and is an adept storyteller, but I will always miss his extraordinary dance moves," she says.

The model (and former Fear Factor contestant) says their relationship opened a lot of doors for her.

"I've had some amazing offers come in, including one modeling campaign that may bring me to England soon," she says. "I can't talk about it yet because it's not a done deal. I hope it happens because I've never been to England, and I'd love to spend some time there.

"If I do end up there, I could find a nice British boy," she adds. "I'd be open to the idea. I hear they have a good sense of humor."

Overall, Larson says she has "no complaints.

"I make good money. I have a house. I have all the things I've always wanted," she says. "I'm in a good place."

She calls their addiction to the Bret Michaels reality show "sad"

Even Sarah Larson and George Clooney have their occasional guilty pleasure.

While recovering from a motorcycle accident last fall, she says they were glued to marathons of VH1's Rock of Love with Bret Michaels.

"We caught ourselves rooting for someone or getting frustrated," Sarah says in June's Harper's Bazaar. "And we were like, 'This is sad.'"

Despite dating one of Hollywood's leading men, Larson says she sees Clooney, 47, as "a normal person, like anyone else. He just happens to have a well-known face."

Attending all those award shows and premieres is "like a modeling job," she says, "smiling and greeting people."

They first met four years ago when she worked at a Las Vegas resort. She was dating someone else at the time.

Last June, they ran into each other at a premiere for Ocean's Thirteen.

"I got texts, and we just started talking," Larson recalls.

Larson — a model who once starred on NBC's Fear Factor — says she probably never would've fallen for him if he, too, had had a reality show past.

"If George had been on a reality show, I don't think I'd have talked to him," she admits. "It would have been like, 'That's nice.'

"I don't know," she adds. "He still wants to date me, and I ate a scorpion."

"Young kids with AK47s ... stole what they could" from the actor during a recent vacation, he says

Apparently, George Clooney gets his share of action off-camera as well.

During a recent trip to southern Sudan, he said he was going through checkpoints when muggers attacked him.

"There were all these young kids with AK47s," Clooney, 46, tells British men's magazine Zoo Weekly. "They pointed guns at us and stole what they could. It happens all the time."

His assailants didn't recognize him, he said, joking, "They don't have great TV out there!"

The Leatherheads star — who is dating former model Sarah Larson — also opened up about being a sex symbol.

"Well, I do have good hair!" he deadpanned. "To be honest, being the fantasy guy is dangerous. If people saw me up close, they'd soon change their minds!

"Plus people's fantasy guys change every 15 minutes," he added, "so you take those compliments knowing that it will change fairly quickly."

Clooney says he "has many failings." Among them: "I'm a terrible dancer."

George Clooney may be a legendary practical jokester on the set of his movies, but not at home with girlfriend Sarah Larson.

Clooney, 46, insisted he's "absolutely not" planning to play any jokes on his girlfriend of eight months.

When asked about his joking ways, Larson, 28, told Usmagazine.com at the Hollywood Leatherheads premiere on Monday, "he has his moments, yes, he's so funny!"

The best part of attending the premiere?

"Come on, tell them — wearing such nice vintage clothes!" Clooney joked to Larson.

Larson concurred: "Wearing my vintage Armani dress!"

George Clooney's girlfriend Sarah Larson hit the catwalk Thursday during L.A. Fashion Week.

She modeled a one-piece bathing suit during the Ashley Paige swimwear show.

This isn't Larson's first modeling move.

She worked as a go-go dancer in 2004 when she was discovered by a Fear Factor producer (she starred on the NBC show in 2005).

Larson, 29, also appeared in ads for the Via Bellagio shops in Las Vegas and did some shows for Catherine Malandrino.

Clooney met Larson in 2007 at the Ocean's Thirteen premiere at Las Vegas' Moon nightclub in the Palms Casino Resort, where she had worked as a cocktail waitress.

A rep for Clooney, 46, recently denied to Usmagazine.com that the two were planning to wed.

"There is no truth" to a British report that the two will wed, the actor's rep tells Us

George Clooney is not engaged to girlfriend Sarah Larson, despite reports saying otherwise.

"There is no truth to any element of the story," his rep tells Usmagazine.com.

A British Web site quoted a restaurant worker in Laglio (the city in Italy where Clooney owns a villa) as saying, "They haven’t made any announcement yet, but there are people in this town who know more than me. They say the couple are already engaged."

Clooney, 46, attended last month's Academy Awards with Larson, a 28-year-old model. The couple have been dating for eight months.

The stars turned out for the Warner Bros.’ fifth annual pre-Oscar Party, held Friday night at the Hotel Bel Air.

Among the A-listers?

George Clooney who arrived with Sarah Larson around 7:30. A few hours later he was overheard jokingly referring to his girlfriend of just under a year, who was clad in bright emerald dress, as “Jolly Green Giant.”

Later the duo were spotted grabbing a box of cupcakes.

When asked if he’d win an Oscar (he lost out to Daniel Day-Lewis), Clooney told Usmagazine.com: “Hell no. God no, are you kidding?”

Casey Affleck, who became a father for the second time January 15, mingled sans wife Summer Phoenix.

Also there: Tilda Swinton, who won Best Supporting Actress last night for her role in Michael Clayton and Tom Wilkinson, who lost out on the Best Supporting Actor trophy to Javier Bardem.

The actor claims credit for her Valentino gown

George Clooney never left Sarah Larson's side during the Oscars' red carpet – when they spent nearly two hours speaking to every news outlet.

"I curled her hair," the actor told Usmagazine.com when asked how he helped his girlfriend of seven months prepare for the big night.

As for her heavily beaded Valentino gown, Clooney claimed credit. "I'm a seamster!" he told Us. "The ironing of the beads works very well. I sewed all the beads back on myself."

And what was Clooney's romantic plan for the night?

"Drink," the Best Actor nominee told Us.
