PLUS: Beau Chris Brown joined her on stage for "Umbrella"

Rihanna teamed up with Maroon 5 to record If I Never See Your Face Again (watch above) – but Tuesday night she made sweet music with her beau Chris Brown.

Brown jumped on stage to duet with Rihanna while she performed
Umbrella at Madison Square Garden in NYC.

At the end of the song the PDA-shy couple hugged.

Rihanna, 20, and Brown, 19, have insisted they're just pals.

"We're just friends... We hang out," Brown said in February – the same month they were spotting kissing at Rihanna's surprise birthday party. They were later photographed cuddling in a Jamaican pool and most recently in Paris.

Ashlee Simpson, Rihanna and Coldplay will also take the stage

Miley Cyrus, Coldplay and Paula Abdul are among the musical acts headlining the Today show's 13th annual summer concert series, NBC announced Wednesday.

Abdul will kick off the series April 25; teen queen Cyrus will perform July 25.

Also taking the stage: Ashlee Simpson, Sheryl Crow, Rascal Flatts, Natasha Bedingfield, Neil Diamond, Mary J. Blige, Alanis Morissette, the B-52s, Donna Summer, Chris Brown, Kenny Chesney and Rihanna.

"I am definitely single," the singer says while alluding to a "close friend"

Chris Brown is trying to lower the expectations for his relationship with Rihanna.

While the R&B pair have been linked since last September and they've made out publicly in LA and Paris, Brown tells MTV UK, "As a relationship standpoint, I am a single guy, I am definitely single."

And Brown did not refer to Rihanna by name even though the duo were photographed cuddling in a Jamaican pool just last month.

"I have a close friend but it's not like a relationship," he added. "I'm not trying to settle down. I'm only 18 so I'm just trying to live my life and have fun."

Rihanna and Chris Brown are getting more comfortable taking their romance public.

They hugged and kissed Saturday night at a Paris Fashion Week party for famed photographer Peter Beard.

"They were aware of people watching them but couldn’t keep their hands off each other!" an onlooker tells Usmagazine.com. "It was a very sexy PDA.

"By the end of the evening, they were kissing passionately, and Rihanna was lying in Chris’s arms," the eyewitness adds. "If people weren’t sure if they were going out before, they certainly knew afterwards!"

Romance rumors started last month after the two were spotted kissing at Rihanna's surprise birthday party. They were later photographed cuddling in a Jamaican pool.

Despite coy denials, the young duo go public with their relationship

Rihanna and Chris Brown insist they're just pals, but their PDA gives them away!

The pair have long remained coy about the nature of their relationship. "We're just friends... We hang out," Brown, 18, said at a Grammys after-party on Feb. 10.

But two days later they were spotted walking hand-in-hand into a private room at L.A. hot spot Les Deux.

The occasion? A surprise 20th birthday party for the "Umbrella" singer.

After the crowd – including guests Kanye West and Wilmer Valderrama – belted out "Happy Birthday," a witness tells Us Weekly in its latest issue, "Chris stood up and serenaded her with his own version, and she was beaming. He grabbed her when the song was over and kissed her."

The source adds that aside from Brown's friendly dance-off with Valderrama that night, he and Rihanna "constantly had their hands all over each other and were rarely apart."

Go with the singer as she shoots her "Got Milk" ad

Rihanna is the newest face to don a white moustache for those “Got Milk” ads.

Shot in L.A.’s Smashbox Studios (before she cut her hair), the singer, 19, offered advice to teenagers on how to stay fit.

“Eating healthy is very important as a teenager,” the Barbardos-born singer says. “You need to start eating healthy. It sounds boring — everybody wants to eat chocolate and candy, I am just like that — but, at the end of the day, it’s important to be healthy.”

What does she recommend?

“Exercise. It doesn’t have to be the gym,” says the “Umbrella” singer. “You can do sports, swim, ride a bike, skate, something fun.”
