Don't break out the cosmos just yet.

The buzzed-about Sex and the City movie sequel isn't official.

Sarah Jessica Parker tells Usmagazine.com that she and writer Michael Patrick King will "have that conversation sooner rather than later."

At Thursday's DVD party in NYC, she said, "It’s all about the story. If we can’t tell a story that’s really worthy of an audience, then we won't do it.

"We've been really lucky at this point," she continued. "We’ve been in people’s good graces for a long time, and we take that very seriously. So that’s the biggest challenge, the story."

Look back at Carrie Bradshaw's crazy couture.

Cynthia Nixon told Us she has a few ideas for her character, feisty lawyer Miranda Hobbes.

"I would love to see her and Carrie and Charlotte and Samantha all go off on some wild mad cap adventure somewhere," she said.

As for the sexually charged Samantha Jones?

"The sky is the limit," Kim Cattrall told Us. "I love Samantha single - she has way too much fun."

Quipped Mario Cantone (who plays Charlotte York's gay BFF): "Brad Pitt gave $100,000 for the gay marriage law, so he should play my boyfriend in the sequel."

The film breaks record for the best R-rated comedy opening in history

Despite negative reviews, Sex and the City ranked as the top movie this weekend, pulling in over $55.7 million and far exceeding industry estimates of a $25-35 million opening gross, Reuters reported.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull – which was No. 1 over Memorial Day weekend – dropped to second place, earning $46 million.

SATC's haul made it the best R-rated comedy opening in history, surpassing 1999's American Pie. (Among all R-rated films, it comes in at No. 5.)

Women accounted for 85% of the SATC audience on its opening night, Warner Brothers said.

"Women are great planners and they definitely wanted a girls' night out," Dan Fellman, president of distribution, told Reuters.

The Strangers, starring Liv Tyler, came in at No. 3 with $20.7 million.

Sarah Jessica Parker and the girls hit the pink carpet Tuesday — and two after parties!

After four years, Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte reunited in Manhattan.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis hit the pink carpet for the long-awaited Sex and the City movie premiere at NYC's Radio City Music Hall on Tuesday.

All glammed up, fans had lined up since the early morning in hopes of scoring a seat to the hot event (many ended up going home empty-handed).

The best part of the night for Parker (who wore a silver Nina Ricci bustier gown with Fred Leighton jewels and walked the carpet with husband Matthew Broderick)?

"Being with you and all those people," she told reporters as she pointed to the fans.

The crowd also went crazy as Cattrall (in Vivienne Westwood), Nixon (in Narciso Rodriguez) and Davis (in Donna Karan) walked the carpet.

"Being in Sex and the City is the best thing," Jennifer Hudson -- who plays Carrie's assistant in the film -- told Usmagazine.com. "[The writers] spoke about the things that we all go through."

Added Jason Lewis (who plays Samantha's beau Smith Jerrod), "It was nice" filming the movie. The best part: "There was a sunset in Malibu that stopped production."

Celebs including Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld, Ashley Olsen, Fergie, Mary J. Blige, Vogue editor Anna Wintour, Edie Falco and designer Donna Karan turned out for the film, which has been receiving mixed reviews from critics.

After the movie, guests headed over to the Museum of Modern Art for the after party.

But the partying didn't end there.

The cast and crew then flocked to The Carlyle hotel's Bemelmans Bar for the after-after party.

"This was even better than the official party because it felt clubby," the movie's director, Michael Patrick King, told Us. "Only the people we were actually close with were here.”

Could more Sex be on the way?

Maybe.

Cattrall says she wants to make a sequel.

"I get sent many a Cosmo! I never drink them," she says

She's known for sipping her share of Cosmos on Sex and the City, but in real life Kristin Davis steers clear of cocktails.

"I’m a recovering alcoholic," the actress, 43, tells Health. "I’ve never hid it, but I’ve been sober the whole time I’ve been famous, so it wasn’t like I had to go to rehab publicly."

She says "it’s caused a lot of confusion out in the world. I get sent many a Cosmo! I never drink them.

"I believe [alcoholism] is a disease. I don’t think you can mess with it."

She says people used to say to her "'Couldn’t you just have one glass of champagne?'

"And I would say, 'No,'" Davis recalls. "I’m doing well. I still have occasional bad days. Why risk it?"

Unlike her family-oriented character, Charlotte York, Davis says her No. 1 goal in life isn't to wed and have kids. (See clips from the upcoming SATC movie here.)

Still she says, "I can relate to feeling the pressure society puts on a person. My family has never been focused on that for me. I’d love to have children, though. I’d also love to adopt a child — I think about it a lot."

Davis — who works with Oxfam International to fight poverty — even cites Angelina Jolie as an inspiration.

"I’ve met Angelina. I don’t know her well, but what she’s done is fantastic," she says.

She adds, "I admire anyone who adopts children."

Sex and The City: The Movie doesn't hit theaters until May 30 but fans can catch up with Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Chris Noth on The Oprah Winfrey show Thursday.

Usmagazine.com has the first photo of their taped interview.

"I am excited — excited is like a flip-flop to a high heel. Like it doesn't even describe [it]," Parker told Winfrey.

"[The reunion has] been such a blast," added Cattrall.

Kristin Davis will host winner of Oxfam auction

How much would you pay to join the stars of Sex and the City on the red carpet at the premiere of the movie?

One woman from Japan won Oxfam's auction to attend the New York event with Kristin Davis.

The winning bid? $52,100 – which goes entirely to the international relief and development organization.

The winner, who found out about the auction from an interview with Davis in last week's Us Weekly, plans to go to the premiere with her fiance.

"Oxfam's mission is to alleviate poverty and injustice by helping people learn skills and create lives," Davis explained to Us. "I just got back from Africa and saw firsthand that we're making a long-term difference. It gave me a sense of satisfaction."

The prize includes a pair of Jimmy Choos for the occasion and an on-air meet and greet with Davis, who plays Charlotte York.

Earlier this month, a man from the U.K. placed a winning bid of $40,100 at an Oxfam auction to join Scarlett Johansson at the L.A. premiere of He's Just Not That Into You.

What would Charlotte say?

TMZ.com is reporting that 20 sexually explicit photos allegedly of Sex and the City star Kristin Davis are making the rounds. The shots are from a sex tape she made with an ex five years ago, the site says.

But her rep tells Usmagazine.com: "This is not a photo of Kristin Davis. There is no sex tape."

Davis can be seen next — with her clothes on — in the upcoming Sex and the City movie, out May 30. Watch the trailer here.

"Something major happens" to Carrie, says SJP

The stars of Sex and the City have dropped hints about the question on the minds of all fans: what happens in the movie?

"Something major happens that fundamentally changes who Carrie is," Sarah Jessica Parker told LOGO's NewNowNext.

The movie "doesn’t pick up right where the series ended," Parker says. "It's a few years later... it's so packed with stuff."

Cynthia Nixon says her character, Miranda Hobbes, "is still in Brooklyn, is still unhappy about it, and still advancing at her job, in her firm."

As for baby Brady?

"Her son is thriving, but her marriage is kind of mmm — not doing so great," she explains. "We are dealing with unfaithfulness, but even more than unfaithfulness, I think we are dealing with the daily grind that can take its toll on a relationship."

Meanwhile Charlotte York Goldenblatt is "struggling to be a good mother," Kristin Davis says. "She has her adopted daughter, and she’s an overachiever."

Kim Cattrall, who plays Samantha Jones, told LOGO about being older in the movie, but when asked who has the most sex, responded, "Guess!"

As for rumors of tension on the set of their flick (due out May 30), the stars deny any infighting.

"It’s almost like going back to high school, yet not," Davis says. "There’s a sense of familiarity between us, and we are in many ways like sisters. We finish each others' sentences and we were never separated from each other."

The first day back on set "was wild," adds Nixon. “We were back in these outfits, and these heels again."

"And we had to re-learn how to walk down the street and walk in unison and not teeter over in our heels, but it kind of felt great," she adds. “What it felt like was a four-headed eight-legged organism!”

Besides, Davis says, "This is how we earn our check — wearing these shoes."
