Did Prince publicly humiliate wannabe pop princess Paris Hilton on purpose?

A source tells Us Weekly that Hilton, 26, was in the audience at the Purple One’s April 20 Club 3121 gig at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in las Vegas when he invited the "Stars Are Blind" singer to join him.

As a “delighted” Hilton obliged, Prince, 48, handed her the mic and told the audience, “Let’s see if she can really sing,” says the witness.

Hilton stormed offstage – and left the club two songs later.

Prince’s rep had no comment. Hilton’s rep says, “The item is false.”

New Super Bowl "Scandal": Prince's Penisgate!

Alas, Justin Timberlake didn't expose anyone's nipple this year. But, Super Bowl XL did offer a fries-with-that K-Fed, a surprising Letterman-Oprah cuddle, and - our personal favorite - an unsubtle allusion to what Prince usually hides behind his guitar (for the full effect, check out this YouTube clip.)

And without any further foreplay, here are Usmagazine.com's Super Bowl celebrity highlights:

It's one thing to pay celebrities to pimp your products, it's another to get celebrities to whore themselves out shamelessly for you! That's what GM did in this brilliant ad showing a demure and gorgeous Mary J. Bligeand others singing Chevy-inspired songs.

We'd like to say Budweiser could have picked a more annoying and less likeable "comedian" than Carlos Mencia as a spokesperson - but we're honestly having trouble coming up with who that numbnut possibly could be.

Certainly not annoying was Jim Gaffigan. Hats off to any man who could sport a beard comb-over, cut-off jean shorts and rollerskates in a single Sierra Mist commercial. It makes up for the second spot, where Gaffigan's karate chop silliness fails to make us laugh. At all.

We know K-Fed's Nationwide Insurance ad was supposed to be the half-time show of the Super Bowl commercial competition, but David Letterman completely killed with his low-concept canoodle (bravo to La Oprah for agreeing to this).

As for K-Fed's much-hyped Nationwide ad, it was definitely worth the money. Not only did it make the former Mr. Britney Spears seem less like a gold-digging babies' daddy, it was an effective ad for opening up an annuity: Who better to caution us to invest wisely?

But we're at a loss to explain that dull-as-Hilary-Duff Sheryl Crowe Revlon ad – it must have been shot at 3 p.m. with nary an almond in sight.

Prince, however, showed off his affinity for nuts – at least for his own. During his electric half-time set, the pop icon performed in raging-hormone heat – so much so that during Purple Rainhe ducked behind a screen and started playing what looked like, uh, Prince Jr. (For the full effect, check out this YouTube clip.)

Ok, we all knew it was a guitar. But backlit against a shimmering bed sheet like that, with Prince's wrist twisting to and fro, it looked like it could have been his Little Red Corvette.

Justin Hits Back at Prince

Even the boys get catty during awards show season. Golden Globes presenter Justin Timberlake was finally able to get back at Prince for taking a swipe at him at an Emmys party last year.

Last August, while performing at Entertainment Tonight’s Emmy Awards after party, Prince dissed the former 'NSYNCer's new single "SexyBack," yelling to the crowd, "For whoever is claiming that they are bringing sexy back, sexy never left!"

But Timberlake got his revenge Monday night when he presented the Golden Globe award for best original song in a motion picture. Timberlake announced Prince had won for his rousing contribution to the Happy Feet soundtrack, Song of the Heart, but there was no stirring in the crowd.

As Timberlake stood on stage awkwardly looking around, it became increasingly clear that the purple one was not in the house.

“Well, I guess Prince couldn’t be here,” Timberlake said. Then the 6’1” singer crouched down in an attempt to emulate Prince’s 5’2” petite frame and added, “I’d like to accept this award on his behalf.” The audience erupted in laughter.

However, the "Raspberry Beret" singer didn’t seem to take offense to the jab. Later in the broadcast, when Hugh Grant informed the crowd that Prince had been stuck in L.A.’s notorious traffic, the diminutive musician stood up and took a belated bow.

American Idol Says "Forget Paris"

America can only take one Paris (and that one, barely) at a time. Last night American Idol fans booted Paris Bennett, the 17-year-old Fayetteville, Georgia native. Only four Idols remain. The Associated Press reports:

Contestants sang two songs â€” one from the year of their birth and one from any Billboard chart's current top 10 â€” in Tuesday night's program.

Though judges Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul praised Bennett's funky take on Prince's 1988 hit "Kiss," judge Simon Cowell derided it as "screechy" and "annoying."

In a turnaround, her second performance â€” a cover of Mary J. Blige's "Be Without You" â€” was deemed "pitchy" by Jackson but well received by Cowell.

"I think she did rather well with that," Cowell said.

But, if Julia Roberts has taught us anything, it's that a screechy and annoying rendition of "Kiss" can be career-launching as long as youâ€™re singing it in a bubble bath -- and possess a smile so powerful that it can tame unicorns and move people to spend hundreds of dollars to see a play universally panned by critics.

Prince will pull himself away from his three -- three!! -- beauty salon chairs long enough to drop by American Idol and coach contestants on the greater complexities of singing, dancing and buttless pants-wearing. The New York Post reports:

Notoriously shy Prince is willing to do anything to keep his album 3121 at the top of the Billboard charts. Industry insiders say Prince is worried that his record, which recently debuted at No. 1, might drop off the charts next week. So his record company convinced him to go on American Idol to boost sales as Barry Manilow did earlier this year.

"It wasn't easy though," said one source, "because Prince apparently hates the show and has never even watched it." A rep for Prince didn't return calls.

Taking career cues from Barry Manilow? Damn. Is it really that bad, Prince?

If God loves us, there's a duet of Abdulâ€™s "Opposites Attract" with Prince standing in for MC Skat Kat in the works.

Prince just wants your extra time and your kiss and to paint purple stripes all over your house. Utah Jazz forward Carlos Boozer found this out the hard way when he rented his 10-bedroom, 11-bath, $70,000-a-month (!!!) West Hollywood property to The Artist We Never Stopped Calling Prince. The Smoking Gun reports that the awesomely-named Boozer sued the singer along with MPG music in January.

According to the lawsuit, Prince/MPG Music violated its eight-month lease by "painting the exterior of the [house] with purple striping, 'prince' symbol, and numbers 3121." Prince's new album, "3121," is scheduled for release tomorrow. Inside the home, among other renovations, a purple monogrammed carpet was installed in the master bedroom and plumbing and piping was added in the downstairs bedroom "for water transfer for beauty salon chairs."

The lawsuit ended up getting dismissed last month, but still. Letâ€™s examine this for a second. Prince didnâ€™t just install a beauty salon sink-chair contraption in his house, which would have been weird enough seeing as heâ€™s neither a chick nor 80 years old. No, he installed beauty salon chairs. As in, more than one. The mind reels. In our wildest dreams, he uses one to wash his 'stache-goatee hybrid, one to wash his butt-less pants when heâ€™s not wearing them, and the other he takes baths in because heâ€™s but a wee thing and would feel lost in the houseâ€™s bathtub which could probably double for a swimming pool.
