Kimora Lee Simmons filed for divorce from her husband of seven years, Russell Simmons, on Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court.

She cited irreconcilable differences, the Associated Press reports.

She is seeking legal and physical custody of their two children, Ming Lee, 9, and Aoki Lee, 5.

The Baby Phat designer, 32 — who is now dating actor Djimon Honsou — also requested that Russell Simmons, 50, be granted "reasonable child visitation ... accompanied at all times by the children's nanny and security personnel."

Us Weekly was the first to report on the couple's split in 2006.

The father is <b>Djimon Hounsou</b>, her boyfriend of one year

Baby Phat designer Kimora Lee Simmons is expecting a baby with Blood Diamond star Djimon Hounsou, the New York Post reports.

The Post says Simmons, 32, and Hounsou, 43, her boyfriend of one year, had been trying to get pregnant.

Simmons has two daughters, Ming Lee Simmons, 8, and Aoki Lee Simmons, 5, with ex husband Russell Simmons, whom she split from in March 2006. They had been married since 1998.

A rep for Simmons told Usmagazine.com, "There is no comment at this time."

Phasionista Kimora Lee Simmons, the diva mogul behind the Baby Phat label will star in the style network’s first reality sitcom series.

We have no idea what a reality sitcom is, but Kimora is supposed to take “viewers into the compelling life of Kimora Lee Simmons.”

The style network promises that we’ll get to see the former model order around her fashion designers, creative directors and publicists, as well as the chef, nannies and drivers at her New Jersey estate.

The show we’d much rather have seen, though, would have aired last year, when Kimora, 31, split from rap mogul Russell Simmons, 49. Their two daughters Ming Lee, 7, and Aoki Lee, 4, will both be featured.

A network exec promoted the show in a release, saying, “Kimora Lee Simmons is simply a fascinating woman."

Let’s hope so. It’d be weird to watch a reality show with a laugh track.

Relatives of model Denise Vasi think that her 48-year-old boyfriend, Russell Simmons, is too old for her and felt the need to share these concerns with the New York Daily News:

Denise's family is well aware that Simmons has a phat enough wallet to have built an empire for Simmons' recently-estranged wife, Kimora Lee Simmons, another model he picked out from the catwalk when she was just 16 years old.

(Simmons' label, Def Jam Records, made $100 million in 1999, and his Phat Farm clothing line earned $140 million in 2004.)

"The economics sound great," our inside source tells us. "But she's 23, and he's nearly 50. He's taking her to these parties and who knows what goes on there. We think this is the wrong direction for her to go in."

Whyâ€™s that? Because she could have actually lived her life twice with one to grow on and still not be as old as he is? Nah, thatâ€™s not creeptastic at all.

But, â€œthe economics sound greatâ€ line is wonderfully crass. We only wish weâ€™d been there right after when the relativeâ€™s pupils and irises morphed into dollar signs and their jaw came rocketing forward like a cash register drawer, hitting the journalist in the face.
