Britney Spears and ex Justin Timberlake, together again? Hip-hop producer Timbaland told MTV News it could have happened. But Spears put the kibosh on the idea herself after Timbaland (who works closely with Timberlake) floated the possibility to her while she was working on her new album. Said Timbaland, “[She got] so big-headed and [was] like ‘Screw you, screw you, I don’t need nobody.”
According to the producer, the collaboration could have provided a big boost to Spears' sagging career, which took a big hit from her lackluster MTV VMA performance. "She has no comeback story. That's the problem. She has to have a team. She needs to come back with Justin doing records; [then we'd see headlines like] 'She went back to her ex and she's making smashes,'” said the producer.
Now, the only chance Spears has of making the dream duet happen is if she apologizes for her stubbornness. Said Timberland, "She should humble herself and make a phone call and say, 'I'm sorry…She needs to say, 'I was wrong,' and it'll definitely move forward. ... That's all she has to say."

Everybody wants Britney to apologize, and once again, I see no need. Timberland is a big-headed, over-inflated ego, Oriental-looking, African-American with a body like a gorilla. He is so effing FUG, I can barely stand to look at him...maybe that's why Britney didn't want to work with him. Britney's gonna come back strong, and Timberland just wants him and JT to be the ones to get the credit for it. I like JT, and would like to see him and Britney make music together, but not with Timbaland because he just wants to ride the wave. I mean wtf does "she needs a comeback story" mean; that sounds so effing lame--an effing comeback is a standalone story that is self-explanatory dumbazz (not exactly college educated, are we? Don't give up your day job). Also, if Britney insulted JT and Timberland, why isn't JT speaking out about it? Maybe becuz Timbaland is full of tish with his over-inflated ego! Timbaland is nothing more than a glorified backup singer for JT and others (check out "his" album); some super producer. He needs to work on a new sound or he will be the new Missy Elliott. JT is more than welcome to kiss his flat azz, but I don't blame Britney for wanting to do it by herself; Timberland kinda looks like the "casting couch" type to me. Ewww.

Looks to me that JT was willing to take a professional risk to try to help Spears get back on track. You know, like the kind of thing a first boyfriend might do for a first girlfriend. And Britney, as usual, is so effed-up that she WON'T be helped, is determined to run her career into the ground in flames. Even when it's help from a safe person, one of the few people she's ever been associated with who has no reason to want to exploit her.

Britney should have jumped at the chance to do a duet with Justin. I am not sure why Justin agreed to it-maybe he felt sorry for her, but she should have done it. That definitely would have helped her career. She really has no sense. She had no business being married and having kids and she is also showing that she can't take care of her career either. Britney will probably be one of those on a show about "Where are they now?" since if she doesn't get her act together, she can kiss her career goodbye.

Justin has absolutely nothing to gain by doing a live performance with Britney, but he has a lot to lose. Justin's career is on fire right now and he's had a huge 2007. He's had a highly successful and well received album, a phenomonal tour, several movie roles, and looks to be in a solid loving relationship. Love her or hate her, Britney's life is in tatters and she's a mess. Justin does not need to put himself out there and risk looking like a complete fool just to do a duet with Britney for ratings. If Britney can get her life in order and prove that she has it together over the next few years, then maybe down the line a duet with Justin could work. I still don't really see the point of them doing a duet together ever much less a live performance. He's on top of the world without her.

I have not sold one of my own songs, but have shared songwriting credits with my partner and a country artist. I have been asked to change songs of other writers with their permission and received songwriting credit.
Britney's lifestyle has inspired two of my songs this year, one is a sad, sad ballad (I think it would be good for Amy Winehouse) and a raunchy wild song about.
Sunday night it was all about getting to talk to the producers. It would be an honor for someone like me to have Timb select one of my songs, it would really put me on the map and give me the credibility I need for others to pursue my talent.
I was asked to look at a song by a friend but do not know who the artist. They just asked me to look at the lyrics.
I perform Fridays and Saturdays and all my songs are for sale. I need a cult following.
