Tina Fey: I Want Britney Spears on 30 Rock!

 Shawn Ehlers/WireImage.com; X17online After Britney Spears helped CBS’ How I Met Your Mother earn its highest ratings of all time, Tina Fey says she wouldn’t mind if the pop singer popped up on her NBC sitcom 30 Rock. “We would love to work with Britney,” Fey, 37, told reporters yesterday in a conference call. “I’ve worked with her twice on Saturday Night Live and she was very professional and nice.” (See Spears' on-set looks here.) Fey also has her eyes set on another A-lister: Oprah Winfrey. “I want Oprah to play my best friend,” Fey said. “I want to spend time with Oprah, and I don’t know what I need to do to make it happen.” 30 Rock returns April 10 with new episodes following the writers' strike. Getting back to work wasn’t easy, Fey said. “The strike was a bit like the maternity leave that I didn’t have, except for my duties on the union line,” said Fey, who has a daughter Alice, 2. “Now my daughter is old enough to say, ‘You don’t go to work, you stay inside.’ That breaks my heart.” Join Us on Facebook and Twitter for even more up to the minute celebrity news and photos!

OMG! That would be amazing if Britney were to guest star on 30 Rock. I love the show and I think that would be great for her. It's really refreshing to see that the days of people basking in Britney Spears' downward spiral might actually be behind us. I mean, I will admit that initially it was a bit humorous, but that lasted for about a minute and then it was just plain sad that people were revelling in her fall from grace.

Hey 9:53, you sound like a plant to me, what's with referencing the date Brit was on? If you have eyes and are on this website you know when she was on and probably watched at least 30 sec of the show. If you're going to try to infiltrate a blog page try to sound less like an exec making an attempt at guiding a market study.

Sorry, but everyone is making a HUGE deal out of one lousy acting script WRITTEN for Britney. How hard was it for her to play a dim-witted country girl? She ALREADY is one!! She has no real talent- except for making a spectacle of herself.

I like Tina Fey also, and it'd be interesting to see Britney Spears, who just made an appearance on How I met your mother on Monday Night, 3/24, and Oprah Winfrey, on 30 Rock, I agree with Tina Fey, it'd be great to have them both on the show, and for Oprah to play Fey's friend!
