When Tom Cruise lets his inner control freak get the best of him, there's one person Katie Holmes, 28, knows she can count on for a shoulder to cry on: her British best friend Victoria Beckham.
"Katie has been crying over the phone," an insider tells Us Weekly. "She's frustrated. Tom is denying her every single thing."
The insider adds: "Once, Katie and Victoria talked on the phone for four hours."
And Beckham has seen how domineering Cruise can be firsthand. A source close to the 44-year-old actor tells Us that he is relentlessly trying to convince the ex-Spice Girl, 32, and her husband, soccer star David Beckham, 31 (who are moving to L.A. this year), to convert to his religion.
"Victoria is sick and tired of Tom being on her back about Scientology," says the source. "Victoria is an old-fashioned British woman who believes in God. She finds it quite rude that Tom is bugging her so much. Not too long ago, Tom left 18 messages in one hour to get them to join the church."
The source adds Victoria has put her foot down to Tom's pressure. "When she says no, she means no."
Cruise's rep tells Us, "This is completely false. Tom does not and never has encouraged anyone to adopt Scientology."

I love her in everything she's ever done and think that she's holding herself back being with an egotistical, self-absorbed, control freak of a husband like Tom Cruise. It's hilarious to see how easy is to brainwash people. Apparently someone has been busy inventing nonsenses about Tom Cruise and throwing them to the press people for years and it's Andrew Morton's turn now - the man just invented a Tom Cruise biography which is to say a lie-ography. The funniest thing of this all is that the media believe the lies and publish them and part of the public fall in the trap too. I wonder who is crazy here... We have seen so many lies published about Tom Cruise in the last couple of years like the placenta story and that Suri didn't exist that I wonder how some people can still believe those crazy stories... What's next? That Katie Holmes is actually the daughter of Snow White? Or that Tom Cruise was made of wood and then became human like Pinocchio? Any media reporting those lies should be ashamed. And the people believing them should seriously worry about their mental health.

Its really pathetic to read "ordinary" peoples comments, especially since none of you ever will meet and get to know either Tom Cruise or Katie Holmes. I think Katie has blossomed to a beautiful rose since she met Tom, and I truley belive they are happy and Suri is the most beautiful kid I´ve ever seen! With celebricy comes sacrifices, but that should not be an excuse for the rest of the world to use when they need to still their curiousy. I, with many others, likes to read gossip, but I know that half of the articles are just lies and bullbleep. And I feel ashamed when I think of how my money supports this witchhunt on famous people. My heart goes out to Katie.I have been in a controlling relationship before,and it says more about the one who is controlling then the other person. Older people marry younger ones for different reasons....to control,and or feel better about themselves because of age. If Tom is controlling Katie then he in my opinion has insecurity issues as ALL of us do somewhat. It doesn't matter how famous you are it is WHO you are inside....If tom is truly controlling her then my heart goes out to both of them as it is not healthy for either one of them or their daughter...

If the allegations were false I would assume that they would sue. Some things that are said in these articles can be ignored, but the statements here were too extreme to ignore. However, they would not sue if there was truth to the articles. I am inclined to believe that there is some validity.

I do not feel that Katie is in any danger. EVERYONE changes when they either have new friends or start seeing someone new. It's human nature. If you fall in love with a crack dealer- you start smoking crack...if you fall in love with a millionare you start acting like one. Tom is how much older? He's more traditional than what us youngins are today. I'm not saying he's right or wrong but I think that if we are going to be nosey with their home life we have to look at the whole picture. I stated quite sometime ago that Katie is being controlled by Tom, it has been obvious for awhile. You can see it in her entire demeanor when they are together. I believe he has made her question her own ability to think for herself and do for herself. Prior to their marriage katie appeared out going and flamboyant in pictures when out and about. You just do not see that in her eyes anymore, she has lost that glow and charisma.
