Tom Cruise "Spoke Briefly" to Man Posing as Heath Ledger's Dad

 Jim Spellman/WireImage.com Tom Cruise "spoke briefly" to a man claiming to be the father of Heath Ledger, a source close to Cruise tells Usmagazine.com. A source close to Cruise tells Us the two spoke by phone once and the actor realized it was a hoax. "They spoke briefly but he realized the caller was an impostor almost immediately and he hung up," the source says. The impostor also arranged for hotel rooms at New York's Carlyle Hotel before Ledger's reps and police were notified. The impostor was first reported by the New York Post.
