They need the old cast members desperatly as the new ones(teens)are not very attractive and seem boring.

Tori: Shannen Doherty "Going to Be Great" on 90210 Spin-Off

 Jean Baptisste Lacriox / Wire Image Tori Spelling is thrilled original 90210 member Shannen Doherty has been cast on CW's upcoming 90210 spin-off. "It is going to be great," she told Usmagazine.com Saturday at the Much Love Animal Rescue's "Bow Wow WOW!" event in L.A. "The fans have been wanting this for a long time." See photos of your favorite 90s stars - then and now. (Seems Spelling - who will also appear on the show down the line - has had a change of heart since penning her memoir, sTORI Telling. In it, she said Doherty "could be arrogant and carefree.") Doherty will reprise her role as Brenda Walsh, who, after a successful theater career, has returned to West Beverly High as a guest director for the school’s musical production. "She is a huge part [of the show]," Spelling said of Doherty. "Any original cast member is huge to the fans. She was there from the beginning. She was 90210. Shannen and Jason [Priestley] - they were the Walshes." She also says her father, the late Aaron Spelling, would have approved of the spin-off. "He would be really proud," she told Us. I loved 90210 back in the day!! I believe I will like this as well. Tori and Shannen are both great actresses and the 90210 sequel yep it's gonna be interesting...so we shall see:o)

I always thought Brenda was great until I watched her again recently. I guess she seemed cool when we were kids, but now she I see that she was a whiney, self-righteous beyotch. She was like Joey Potter of the '90's! Both had major sticks up their a**es and thought they were so ABOVE everyone else!! ICKY!!!

I agree with Tori Spelling, Shannen Doherty will be great on the 90210 Spin-Off, and she's right, fans have been waiting for this for a long time! Also, I also agree with Tori Spelling that her later father, Aaron Spelling, would've approved of the Spin-Off, and it's interesting to hear that he was going to make a 90210: Next Generation, etc.

When the original Beverly Hills, 90210 came out I missed the 1st season and part of the 2nd season, now I can say I've watched all 10 seasons at least 5 times, I adore the show, and after watching Tori Spelling on Tori and Dean, I am so excited to see Tori coming back as Donna as well as Jennie Garth and especially Shannen Doherty! I can't say enough about Shannen Doherty, she was amazing on Charmed and I'm sure she will be wonderbar on the new 90210, hope they stay, and get Luke Perry in there!

I'm only going to watch it because Shannen D is going to be on there, otherwise who cares. She made the original show and it sucked after she left. She just needs to grow up a little and realize the show DOES NOT REVOLVE around her and she isn't the only star on there. Her ego seems to get the best of her and she needs to come down a notch or two. Regardless, of how popular she made the original show.

I think the fans could have survived without this "spin off". However, the old stars couldn't. The orginal cast needs the "work". None of them seem to be doing a whole lot. Won't waste my time watching it though. Post new comment |
