Get a life - how many of you have opened your homes to the homeless? forgone cigerettes so you could feed the hungry with that money instead? Stopped buying beverages (alcohol/soda/juice) so you could help pay for an underprivileged child to get an education? How many of you have made sacrafices in your lives to help all those who you seem to care about when it involved spending someone else's money??? Get a life you hipocrites!!!

People without learn to live within their means - only when the handouts come to them do they become dependent. Stop the handouts and watch these people grow over time through their own ambitions. Stop feeding the poor and watch them start to feed themselves - and I'm not talking about food here people.

Why is it you want to rag on Oprah for her salary - it's none of your business!!! Sport salaries are your business when the stadiums, arenas, and fields where they play are subsidized by public money. The salaries paid to these people to play all day is passed on to you at the gate to see them play, at the store when you purchase anything advertised during those games, and at city hall when you pay your taxes to subsidize the building of those venues and allow your local governments to waive taxes just to keep the teams in town. Why don't people rag on sports teams who don't pay their share of local taxes and who hold cities hostage with the threat of leaving when they don't get their new venues and tax relief when they demand it - all so they can give those players more money than they can spend in a lifetime!!!

She is not worth this much money. There are people who do much more valuable work every day then her with no notice or respect. Police, firefighters, teachers, social workers, rescue pilots etc. Talk show host... Not so valuable. Will be happy when she retires.

People are paid according to the impact they have on society at large , if u work a very hard 12-hr day for 10 people at a fixed rate ,no matter how hard your work is , u'll never be paid as much as someone who services 20 million people even if the charge is a dollar a day. Oprah is this wealthy because she is financially intelligent.Instead of griping about her fortune , educate yourself . There's money out there if you want to make it. Her fortune is well deserved.

Seriously, get a life instead of sitting on this site displaying all this bitterness and anger towards someone who not only makes a lot of money but donates a lot to various causes.

People are so busy nowadays, worrying and fearing what's next. STOP! Think about what you can do to help others that don't have it as good as you do. What have you done lately to "Pay-it-forward" like the book "21 Days To Creating Your Dream Life" talks about? Try doing one thing every week, eventually everyday, to change the perceptions of how people view each other - help someone in need, give to your favorite charity, visit a retirement home and talk with some of the residents about life, help a stranger, hug your loved ones and tell them how much you love them, and most of all - don't let fear drive your life, dance with it, and love life. Try living in the moment, you'll be surprised at what happens!

No, not everyone who works hard makes hundreds of millions of dollars a year. So what. Money isn't everything. Oprah doesn't have children or much family, so she paid a price in a sense. She sacrificed a family and instead chose a family.

You all need to focus less on how much money she makes and more on "quality of life". Yeah she makes a buttload of money. Did she earn it? I guess so, cause she's got it. That isn't everything.

I would rather work hard, play hard, make enough to live comfortably, but still have a family, and a "normal" (not in the limelight) life.

Perhaps the BITTER people on this website need to say "OK, good for Oprah, but I still have a decent life, I'm happy, I need to not be hateful and bitter"

Wants CNN not to ask her pregnancy questions, like she's celeb or something, because she thinks of herself as a politician.

Hires a political advisor.

Only gives birth where a politician will talk about her to the press.

Drops names of political films and books she has read/seen (although she is never past the first page in pictures)

Brad compares kid's looks to a politician.

Make statements like "I have to get to Washington" and "I personally will over see the building of New Orleans" WTF - Brad showed up as it was almost completed and started building houses no one wants.

Models clothes that are known to not only be the most popular with Washington DC ladies, but look very Jackie O like.

In St. John's ads she poses as if she is a White House room or going to JFKs funeral.

Gets the FBI to hunt down pictures her brother "lost".

Also, Brad did the classic "I want to be a politician thing". He said he didn't want to. It makes it look like he is being begged to go into politics if he keeps saying no.

Given Brad clearly had a mid life crisis, which is evident in his dressing like a kid and the swollen micro-derma abrasion face, he clearly wanted more and Angelina has the contacts.

743 Oprah may have rightfully earned her money but in the grand scheme of things I don't think that anyone making hundreds of lifetimes of money 'deserves' it.

A janitor can work hard but won't get millions (I knew one that lived a very hard life, and worked very hard and just barely got by).

If calling commenters here bitter isn't talking smack about strangers on the web, I don't know what is.

It's great that hard work paid off for her, but it won't automatically pay off for everyone.

Even more amazing are the people who work hard day after day even though it doesn't pay big.

Intelligence is a gift and I don't think it would be right to lord it over anyone. If someone works hard, intelligent or not, I hope that they get something for their hard work!

I think she gets a bit much though, but it has to do with our misplaced values.

Tell me why it's okay for someone who makes "decisions" (by that I mean someone sticks to things in front of her from which she picks one)to make that much in a year, but those of us who do physical work every week - can barely survive. I'm not saying she doesn't deserve what she has supposedly "worked hard" for... but it's the same thing as "movie stars" making millions for 2 months of work... that's what is wrong with our country.

If Opera was really into helping people out, she should start in our own country. If she really makes that much money, than she's been doing it for a long time, which means she could give every CITIZEN in this country $100,000 dollars. That would take care of a lot of this countries problems, and besides, a lot of people MADE her rich, she didn't do it on her own.
