Ty Apologizes For DUI

 Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images Extreme Makeover: Home Edition host Ty Pennington was arrested on a misdemeanor charge on Saturday. The Associated Press reports that the ABC reality star was pulled over this weekend in Los Angeles and booked on the suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. He was arrested at approximately 12:30 a.m. and released 2 hours later upon posting $5000 bail. His court date has been set for June 4. On Monday, Pennington released a statement about the incident: “I made an error in judgment. We all make mistakes, however this is about accountability. Under no circumstances should anyone consume alcohol while driving. I could have jeopardized the lives of others and I am grateful there was no accident or harm done to anyone. This was my wake-up call. How unfornuate for Ty to get stopped for a DUI. It's rather uncanning but my son Ty got stopped on the same evening for a DUI (prescription medication) and he was charged. He too will go to court on June 4th. This is also his first offence. It will be interesting to see how th chips fall

The difference between Ty and Paris is that he is taking responsibility for his actions-not trying to explain them away or make bullsh*t excuses for it. Everyone makes mistakes, it's the true adults who own up to it and accept the consequences. That is how you learn your lessons. GO TY!
